Good Morning,
We have another beautiful morning. Headed to low 80's again today. We may see 90 by the end of the week. We still have a brisk wind. We have rain and spring thunder showers moving in tonight. I hope we get some good rain. We are so dry.
I have already been out to the garden and picked a little over two quarts of strawberries. I will be making Doug a pie later this afternoon. I need to cut asparagus again today. We got most of the garden out on Saturday. I want to get some okra out and some squash and call it done. We will do that the end of the week.
Thank you for the birhday wishes. I had a very nice low key birthday. We went to church, I had phone calls and face time with the kids and Grands. Doug took me to Red Lobster for lunch. No cake, no ice cream no gifts but it was a very nice day. I just hope I am as healthy next year on my birthday as I am this year on birthday.
Doug has headed to Nashville to help Wes again today and tomorrow.
I am heading to exercise then a quick run through Wal Mart for dog food. Then I will go count. I may oar may not start the May mopping today. I have a meeting at church at 5:30. I have plenty to keep me busy if I don't begin the mopping. LOL
Phoenix one of our bus kids that lives in the Trailer Park with mom and brother made a profession of faith Friday afternoon. Her mom called the youth pastor to meet them at the park to talk with her. She will be baptized on Wednesday evening at church. Doug and I ordered her a Teen version of the Bible in the Christian Standard translation. I know she doesn't have one. It is a really pretty red fake leather cover. Say a prayer for her she lives in horrible conditions. Her mom does not attend church but said she would come Wednesday night. I hope she doesn't back out. I think he natural father is in prison. Phoenix is seventh grade fourteen years old.
Annie Prayers for Keisha that she is not deployed to the Middle East. How long is the deployment for??
Barb prayers for Sandy.
Janet prayers for Jan. Did Joe leave today for his fishing trip?
Peggy glad you had a nice trip for the funeral.
Sue when do you leave for your camping trip?
Maggie sounds like you had a good week end.
Lauren sending you prayers and hugs. Love the photos of Jasper on FB. Such a handsome young man.
I need to get moving.
Have a Blessed Day Count your Blessings, Karen

Good morning, everyone
It's a nice clear day here - high's will be in the low 80's. No "weather" to speak of here!
I had a quiet Sunday. We watched the Nascar Race and I kept an eye on the Giant's game - both were on at the same time. And the Giant's won - one game at a time! Greg made dinner, so I even got a break from that. And the kitten wants to go outside. We did let her on the front patio for a bit - probably shouldn't have given her a taste of the outdoors. But when we're all outside, she wants to come too. How do you say no to such cuteness!
Today I have to get back into work mode - The end of the month starts this week, so I have plenty to do.
Karen - you look like you're in the line of the bad storms, from the weather map I had a glance at on TV yesterday. I hope you stay safe. Yea to the good Birthday!
I'm going to run - have a good day everyone!
Sue

Good Morning Y'all,
I forgot to water last night, so went out to water after breakfast. I woke up early this morning, so was outside nice and early. It was so peaceful out there...no construction noise from across the road...no tractor noise from Dennis. Just birds welcoming the day. I sat on the patio after watering and just soaked it all in.
I'm back inside now and want to concentrate on packing away the remaining Easter decor. We'll see if I get distracted...ha
I don't know if Dennis will be working here today. His tractor needed work, though he said it was a quick fix, so maybe...if not today, tomorrow. It's time to mow too.
(((HUGS))) all, Peggy ^..^

Good morning. Joe and I got up and watched a couple of the Bible in a Year podcasts, so we won't be quite so far behind when he gets back. I made him some breakfast while he packed up his things. Dick was here by 9 and my brother shortly after and they took off about 9:15am. It is about a 2 hour drive to Rend Lake. It is raining there now though and they can't get into the cabin until 3pm, so there was no big hurry to get there. Maybe they can get the boat in the water if the raindrops stop. They will be back on Friday sometime, depending on if the fish are biting or not.
I've been busy since they left. I packed up about 3 closets and have a van full again to take to mom's. I think I'll wait and shampoo the downstairs family room carpet before I to unload. It is cloudy and rainy here, so the carpets likely won't dry great. But I want to get it done while there is no traffic in the house. I'll put a fan on the carpet and hopefully that will help dry it some. Then when I get back from unloading the van, I have another load to take to the thrift store here in town. Then I'll work on shampooing the carpet on the steps. They are filthy after all the traffic they've had recently. Hopefully they will dry good while no one is in the house this week.
Brooke's games and Owen's trap shoot were canceled yesterday so that freed me up to do more packing and moving things to moms. There was a young couple in Edwardsville posting that they had moving boxes they wanted to get rid of so Joe and I went there and picked those up. There are several wardrobe boxes that will really help. I took a van load of them. I'd already gone through all the boxes Jamie had brought to me from her school. We stopped to see my Aunt Marie. She's doing great. Can't do anything on her own yet but they are really working her in therapy. My cousin Judy is coming from Nashville tomorrow until Thursday then she'll come back again the next Tuesday. The facility is talking about releasing my aunt on Thursday but Judy can't be here and there is no one to stay with her. She can't stay alone. So, she will talk with them tomorrow and see if they can keep her until Tuesday when she can get back. They don't want my aunt to travel due to risk of blood clots and such.
I had bought a few annual plants on Friday at Rural King and wanted to get them potted so I did get that done when we got home. I just need to go get several more. And get mom's window boxes planted too.
Becky text that they wanted to do pizza and cake for my birthday last night. I really wanted to continue on with what I was doing but I said ok. She said they'd be over at 5:30pm. So, I tried to pick up some here and get things ready. I ordered pizza and Joe picked it up. Becky brought salad and Amy brought an ice cream cake. My brother and Cynthia and Mom all came too. It was nice to be together, even just for a few minutes. They stayed a couple of hours.
We got just over 2 inches of rain overnight. It is pretty soggy here, but we needed the rain.
I am hopeful that I will get these carpets shampooed today and have that chore done. Then I'm not sure how much else I'll get accomplished. My wrists and hands are really throbbing. I'm sure I've aggravated my carpal tunnel with all this lifting and scrubbing I'm doing. I'll try some ibuprofen or Advil and see if that helps. I had big plans to get lots done while Joe is gone this week but I'm getting tired. So, we'll see how the week goes. I'm just so thankful that my back has held up. Colleen is insisting on taking me to lunch on my birthday on Wednesday so I know I won't get anything done that day. And it is nice she offered. I'm not complaining. Just not enough hours in the day. I'm feeling pressure to get this all done, although we don't plan to list the house until June. But here it is May already so that will be here before we know it.
I need to get moving here. Have a great Monday all.
Barb: Your day with Jared and Kirsten sounds really nice. Very nice gift for Robin's birthday, for sure, that you all could be together.
Annie: I'll be praying Keisha doesn't get deployed to the middle east. What a worry.
Lauren: Sending daily prayers and much love your way! How is it going with the second medication?

Good morning. Karen, Keisha’s deployment is 6 months to a year. I can’t imagine being away from my two year old for that long, but military people do that all the time.
It’s another beautiful day today. We’re supposed to hit 80° today. It should be warm all week, hitting 85° on Thursday. I finally got Greer’s toys put up yesterday afternoon and I’m going to vacuum today. We were looking for some missing pieces for a couple of his toys and ended up pulling out the couch and sweeping and mopping behind it. We found all but one piece. We’ll have to keep an eye out for that. I hate missing pieces!
My knee has really been hurting me and my thumb on my left hand is very swollen and painful from arthritis. So, I’m back on naproxen and using Voltaren. I’m hoping the swelling will go down on the thumb joints. Getting old is not for the faint of heart.
Thanks for the prayers concerning Keisha’s deployment. I’m really praying she doesn’t end up in the Middle East and for protection if she does. I’m looking forward to her retiring from the Navy. I’m sure she is too. Hopefully this is her last deployment.
Have a good day.
Annie
