Good Morning all - yesterday must have been haircut day! Just realized my show Saturday starts at 9 not 10- which means we (DH) have to be out of the house by 7 not 8 - easy for me - not so much for DH! the cold weather is setting in -not going to get out of the 30's today/tomorrow -20's over the weekend -BM leaves Saturday for vacation -10 days- Dee & I volunteer to do morning feeds -he has a friend who does dinners -I wind up doing the week days since Dee works & I don't -just my choice -but by week's end I'll be glad to see BM back -
Those of you who ride outdoors -do you ride on snow? even with Penny having borium -once the trails melt & freeze -I'm done -which makes for a long winter vacation for her -I'm hoping to get her out Sunday -weather & ice permitting -that would be the first time in a week -I really hate winter!

Good morning. Not much going on here other than DH is getting the temporary cap put on today. I'm monogrammimg some Christmas stuff for DM for her presents to the grandkids. Those of you who ride outdoors -do you ride on snow? Since it doesn't snow here much and when it does, it hardly sticks around for more than a day or so, the answer to the question is no I didn't ride in the snow. Tried not to ride in the rain either but did get caught in storms while trail riding sometimes.

Hi, all! Faye, so why short hair in the winter???!!? Anyways, it's fine except she wants me to keep it this length for a few cuts. She also said I should check w/dr to see if I'm hypothyroid. Have lots of the symptoms, but they may also be menopausal issues. My OB/GYN used to check it but I don't have her anymore...oddly enough, I miss her Barb, yeah, like Beth it doesn't snow much out here so didn't ride in snow. I suppose there were times caught in the rain; the one thing I HATED riding in was wind...it was like a wind-up button for the ponies! Sorry about winter Beth, have fun monogramming. I hope your DH has a stay-put temp crown. Mine always popped off Libby, how's the reno? Dutch, any word on the registration? Amy, how's the weather looking for this weekend? The raining is continuing. I'm hoping to swim this afternoon, whether it's raining or not. My mgr just moved my morning meeting to 2pm, right smack dab in the middle of my "swim" so hopefully I can get him to move it. The painting I've been working on is getting there. The trees in the background are taking a long time to get right. I texted my teacher and she said "keep working on them". Cathy

BARB-happy feeding. Sorry the show is so early. BETH-here's what I learned with a temp. crown-no Tootsie rolls. I put it in my mouth and as I started to chew i thought--what the heck did i just do--as it came off in the tootsie roll. Happy monogramming. How was the last Bible study class till the New year. My Kabbalah class was great today. really enjoying it more than I thought.
CATHY-I let it go 5 weeks and it just got really long and she cut it but she angled it more than usual so i don't see as much when looking straight ahead so I said next time don't angle so much. It looks good and i now made next appt for 5 weeks. FUnny for a while it wasn't growing at all an now I'm back to 4 weeks. good luck with the trees. I remember another time with water color I think you were having "tree issues" but they came out great! did you get your glasses?
AMY-yes, any new weather reports for the show? LIBBY-hope all is going well DUTCH-hope the registration is finalized soon.
Friend coming soon for my Practice show. HAGD

Hi All, I decided after yesterdays lesson that I am not ready to show Lukas after all. I think I was pushing myself a little because My trainer leaves for FL right after Christmas and I won't be able to show until she gets back. I would rather wait and have a good experience. We just need more time together so I feel confident. It is supposed to be nasty weather on Sunday anyway and we have to show out of the trailer there are no stalls to rent.
Libby, I love sky lights but I don't have any.
Beth- so I guess that the hats are not Christmas gifts! LOL
I had the day off today and got a lot of Christmas cards done and some gifts packed up that need to be mailed. I also decorated a table top tree since I am not having the big tree this year. Office Christmas party is this evening so I need to go get ready.
HAGD Amy

Good morning Friday BARB-happy birthday!! doing anything special?? I am in contact with Judy by messaging a bit and see her FB. We actually did one message both writing in French! she's way better at it than I am. and she knows how to change the keyboard for the accents! If you do talk to her tell her I send my best.
AMY-is there another trainer during the winter that you can work with? i forget how that works, just than a lot of people head down to Florida. CATHY-hope the trees and cabinets are coming along. LIBBY-how's it going with the renovation? BETH-hope all went well with DH temp crown.
Hope everyone is doing ok with weather. Saw a lot of snow in places.

Good Morning all - Faye- thanks for wishes -aw shucks -just another day! UPreach this morning - then some errands -a visit to Penny (too cold/icy to ride ) this is a biggie (my medicare birthday -am I one of the oldest here?) but all in all -i don't feel bad about it (most of the time) I don't think I look it, I don't feel it -and it does have some benefits - i get a full boat membership to our local Y -free -going to head back to gym & swim to keep in shape over the winter non-riding months!
Amy - good decision about the show for all the reasons -take your time -there will be more shows! Libby -how are things in Alaska? Beth- nice that you can do that order on your timeline!
Last show tomorrow -(well actually the following weekend I have an event at a temple Hanukkah party - me & their gift shop -so it will be interesting) then I can regroup and figure out next year's plan!

Good morning. Going into town to try to finish Christmas shopping this morning. Faye-I didn't know you spoke French. That must be fun talking to Judy in French. Amy-I agree with you about not showing. If you're not comfortable with Lukas yet, he will know it and then maybe act up. You don't need that. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARB!!!! You may be the oldest. I'm a few years behind you. Have fun at Upreach.

We got a dusting of snow last night, pretty cold here the last couple of days. Getting h2o harder to get to horses, have the hose in the barn, frozen lines. Getting 50 bales of hay today Working at home-so glad I don't have to drive in snow/ice! It's pretty white it's going to melt as it's going to get in the 40's again later today. I've been feeding Lucy extra hay at night and no kicking the barn so far I don't ride in the snow. We rarely get snow here. Faye; do you like your hair cut? Amy; I've only bought a few Christmas presents, I'm really behind this year. Cathy; swimming in the rain? your tough! Barb; Happy Happy Day!! I'm 58, lately feeling 70 lol Dutch: stay warm also! Beth; do you like not traveling anymore for work? HAGD everyone!

Hi, all! Barb, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Yeah, they are days like any other. Sorry you don't get to ride today, but sounds like you'll be busy and having SOME fun! The old adage is true: You are as young as you feel! Sounds like you're doing awesome Faye, I did get the glasses yesterday. And I'm still wearing my old ones. The new ones - well - huh - I spent all this money on getting light frames and the lenses with the prisms look and feel like coke bottle-bottom lenses. I haven't tried wearing them yet, but will give it a shot...soon. After trying them on they then told me I owed them another $680!!! I said "no, I don't think so, I paid for everything up front". Apparently, they charge after the first redo and I've been in there twice. I was ready for a battle but they found a note from the doc saying he would eat the cost because "he wanted me happy". Well, guess what...won't be going back there next year. But I have to wait until August for the next visit unless I want to pay for it. Sigh...it's gonna be a long year, site-wise. Hope the last practice went well! Libby, SNOW!!! Wow. It's kind of cool, like you say (for us West-Coasters) because it's pretty and doesn't last long, AND you don't have to drive in it. How do you deal with the frozen hoses? Glad the funeral went OK. I'm assuming the kids are doing alright? Beth, wow...almost done with Xmas shopping? I'm still struggling. Only for my family but sometimes it's hard to get an idea. Amy, smart move...show when you're ready, not because your trainer is leaving (when will they be back?). Sounds like you got a lot done yesterday. I hope the office party was nice I miss those, actually. Harp lesson last night. Two of the songs to be used in the show in January are 2 songs I've already played with her so we started going over those. They tried to move the show so that she could participate (Jan 7th) but they couldn't move it due to some other schedules. The "students" play the first 2 songs (big harps in back- yay! - and small harps/kids in front) and then clear the stage for the professionals Should be fine. I can hide Still raining today. Will probably walk if it's not too heavy. I wanted to get the xmas tree this week but with the rain it just isn't happening. Cathy

BETH-i took french in JHS and HS. took spanish in college and all my french surfaced. now I remember nothing of Spanish but can do some french. My DD did french in college and was in a french club so I got to hear it a little. I used to get magazines in french to practice reading but now it's pretty basic. I still have some review books so may try to review and keep up with Judy. LIBBY-we're about the same age. not sure about the hair. a little too short. I should have gone last week. It usually "faints" after being cut and this cold doesn't do much for the curl. Glad you can work from home today. DUTCH-happy birthday to your father.
had acupuncture this AM and yoga later. HAGD

Christmas shopping finished. Now comes all the wrapping and tagging. DH's present this year is/was his root canal and crown. Our part above and beyond the insurance was over $1000. Ouch.

Good morning Saturday.
It's cold here in the south. 24 this morning with highs only to about 49. I think winter has arrived. I'm going to finish monogramming and maybe start on the cap order. Before you know it the holidays will be here. School lets out here on the 21st. It's a half day so just about the time DH gets home and has breakfast he has to turn around and go back to the school to take the kids home. They get out about 11-11:30. I'm not sure which. He's counting down the days.

Good Morning- Show yesterday was really good- better than last year there -even though I still couldn't put up my entire display due to space issues & I paid for an extra 2'! Will have to consider a double space next year -I had 2 ladies who came & bought 3 pieces each as gifts -then an hour or so later one came back (she lives 20 min away ) to buy another gift! Alone they were almost 50% of my sales! Cold here today & the snow (3-5") is coming tomorrow-I'm on breakfast feeding this week as BM is away - hope I can get out tomorrow.
Faye -hope your show goes well -it looks like the snow is holding out for you as well. Beth -24/49 seems balmy now for me! Cathy - did you decide to play in the show -I think it's interesting that this group has 2 harpists!
Putting up a pot of chicken soup this afternoon-running some errands & most likely taking Tundra to the dog park -lazy Sunday.
Waving to the rest -keep warm -ride if you can - HAGD - CBL

Hi, all! Faye, I hope your show went well. I'm sure it did, but more concerned about you getting around in the snow. Barb, that is lovely that your show went well!! 24/49 seems down-right cold to me. We get some freezing but usually in the 30's, not 20's. Brr... Beth, I love that your husband's crown is his xmas gift! I tell the cat her vet visits and meds are hers Hi to Libby, Dutch and Amy! Shopping yesterday and some on-line xmas shopping (God, I love on-line shopping for Xmas!). Was supposed to go to real estate agents party last night but didn't want to drive the mountain road in the dark AND the rain. Not raining today so got in a hike. Will do some painting (still trying to work out the trees) and maybe work on the cabinets. Yes, I will play in the music show. Like I said, I can hide in the back row - thank goodness I bought a slightly-larger harp Cathy

CATHY-so glad you are doing the show. When is it? Sorry about the party. Good luck with the cabinets. BARB-so glad the show went well. bETH-cold here too. just started flurrying
waving to Amy and Dutch and LIbby and ATF
show was ok. very few people, there were events going on so guess that's why. But one woman kept yelling and talking and singing out loud . I was ok but as it went on it started getting to me so I kept going but not as great as I would have liked. Not what it was the other times I was there but I should be able to continue. even with singing patrons. Actually she and I were pretty in sync with The First Noel. and I had everyone join in with Jingle bells which seemed go well. they seemed to like it.Funny how it' was so different from the first 2 times I was there.
i think that the whole day was a Holiday theme so lots going on. but they were very nice.
library show tuesday.
HAGE everyone
