Good morning all!
We have rain for today and tomorrow and then a cold front. Certainly not as cold as you all, but cold enough for jackets and sweaters.
I have my annual dermatology appointment this morning and then work. A relatively light workweek is in store, but next week is very busy, so I'll be doing some prep for that.
Stay warm! Be happy!

Good morning friends. Woke up to the first snow of the season. Only about half an inch, but enough to delay my foray out for a blood test. It's not a fasting test, so I will have another cup of coffee before heading out. I have a full list of errands to do today. For dinner: sword fish, Brussels sprouts, salad and egg noodles. Have a good day! Lynn

Good morning all
Winter is here. It has been snowing all morning. I had to go to the hospital for a shot this morning and they were short staffed so I had a long wait. Right now it is so nice to be in my warm house that I don't feel like going out to the gym. The membership is not going to do me any good unless I use it so I need to go back out there in the snow.
I am almost done with the knitted Xmas presents, one shawl to finish for my DDIL.
Stay warm and dry everyone.

Good morning all,
I'm back from an early dr appt and several quick errands.
Today I need to clean a closet out to make room for the DGSs' presents from Santa so they can be stashed away until the 24th/25th. I bought some gluten free flour to use while my daughter is here so I want to try a recipe today with some of it. I've cut the recipe into a fourth so we can see how this recipe will work without wasting a lot if it doesn't. Talked to DS last night and he broke up with his SO of two years....he said he just wasn't "feeling it" and felt a lot of releif after he broke it off. We weren't real surprised but yet kind of. We just want him to be happy.
Happy Monday everyone!!

Good morning everyone! Yikes! Snow! I won't complain about our weather.
It's been a hard weekend here. Saturday morning we were getting ready to go pick my dad up and bring him home from rehab. I had been there the day before when the PT did his final assessment, and he did well. As we were getting ready, the nurse called. My dad had fallen and cut his head. They were sending him to the ER to be checked out. At the ER they stitched him up, and did a CT scan which didn't show anything, so they sent him back to rehab. Rehab sent him home. I'm assumed since he had been doing well when I saw him the day before, that he was able to come home. WRONG!!! The fall really took a lot out of him. Yesterday morning he couldn't even stand. By late yesterday there was a very slight improvement that has held until this morning. But he is very, very weak. Home health came to see him yesterday, and he is to see his regular doctor on Thursday. My mom is a basket case of nerves and emotions, so it has been a very hard weekend, and looks like it is going to be that way for awhile. I'm hoping for the best, but unless there is significant improvement fairly soon I'm afraid a nursing home is going to be our only option left, because he is a large man and we just can't continue to handle him on our own over a long period. This is the worst it has ever been here at home. I've hoped so much that we would be able to avoid a nursing home, but we don't always get what we want. So if that is our only option, at least I will know I've done everything I could and will be at peace with it. Praying to see a light at the end of the tunnel soon, but in the meantime putting one foot in front of the other and continuing forward.

Joyce, virtual hugs for you as well as prayers. Esther, you must be glad that the knitting is almost complete! Our snow is almost all gone now but what a surprise it was to see this morning. Peg, it's tough to see our kids unhappy. All we can do is be there for them. I used my Medicare card for the first time today when I had a routine blood test. Another rite of passage! Holding all of you in my thoughts. Lynn
