Good morning all. It's raining here and has been all night. So a soggy morning. Fortunately a quiet day. A planning meeting this morning, but after that just deskwork.
Have a happy Tuesday!

Hi all,
I did get the closet cleaned out yesterday. DH got a little stressed with me BUT helped go through his stuff. He is not a total pack rat but he has the first grade book he used 45 years ago. He would not part with it.....go figure. Oh well, I will have to get him going on weeding out stuff on a different day. I do have stuff for Goodwill.
Last night I successfully made a 1/4 batch of doughnut muffins reciipe using gluten free flour for my daughter when she is here at Christmas. We couldn't tell the difference. I'm so glad that I will be able to bake something she'll be able to eat. I am going to continue to look for additional recipes that will work. I may try my brownie recipe this weekend to see how they might turn out. Reg flour costs around $2 for 5 lb while gluten free flour was about $8 for only 44 oz.
My task for today is making new sidelight curtains for the front door. I bought inexpensive pre-made sheer panels so I will just cut them down and then sew a bottom rod pocket. The hardest part will be cutting them down to the right length. I am having lunch with BFF too. That will take a chunk out of the middle of the day but a lot more fun for sure!!
We are supposed to have a rainy day. Have a great day no matter what your weather might be!

Good morning! We have rain here too, but it's been such a dry fall and after the terrible Gatlinburg fires I won't complain about it.
Thank you all for your well wishes about my dad. This morning I can see some slight improvement. His voice is a little bit stronger, and with help he was able to get to the bathroom, and we were also able to get a pair of pajama bottoms on him. We had just been having to keep a blanket over him. Small improvement, but I'll take what I can get and hope that means more is on the way.
Physical therapy was here with my mom this morning, and is coming back again this afternoon to begin work with my dad. It will just be in his recliner for the time being, and they suggested he sleep in his recliner for a few nights. I had wanted him to do that, but my mom had insisted on not doing that for some reason, which made my dad say no to it because of her. Of course, she's not thinking clearly. But when she heard the PT say that too, she decided that it might be o.k. so maybe we can do that tonight. It will be so much easier on my dad to say nothing of being easier on us, and help reduce the risk of another fall.
His kidney specialist should be calling me any minute for a phone consultation. Anxious to hear what he has to say.
Have a good day!
