Good morning! Joyce, I did email Michelynn but she didn't respond. I hope all is well with her. The next two days are packed with meetings and meals out. The consultants are in town for a planning retreat. We have these once a year or so. Over the weekend, I decided to take up crocheting I found an online class on craftsy.com. So last night I stopped at Michael's and bought a skein of light pink/peach yarn and some hooks. The instructor suggests focusing on doing a chain stitch for the first week or so to get used to holding the hook and getting the stitches even. My first chain is about five feet long and my neck is sore. I guess I need to find a more comfortable position. Hope you all have a safe and warm Tuesday! Maryenne

Good morning everyone,
Maryenne, I am impressed, I don't crochet or knit either one. Years ago I did macroma and even taught adult classes. Does anyone remember that (using knots to create various wall hangings, flower pot holders, jewelry, etc. It was a lot of fun and I've done some latchhook projects. Good luck with it and keep us posted on your progress.
DSIL stayed with us last night as he flew in on business. It was a nice surprise and he will be back Wed and Thurs. nights. He and the rest of the family will be here next Thurs. or Fri. I am starting to get excited for Christmas and having everyone home. I worked on my baking list yesterday and need to start thinking about meals.
Today we have an appt at the bank then I want to do some shopping before I have an appt with the oncology NP. They are putting me on a "maintenance" drug to keep the myeloma at bay. I am anxious to learn more about it, side effects, etc. as what I've read about the drug makes me a little nervous/anxious. Time will tell.....
Hope everyone has a great day!!
Peg

Good morning! Maryenne that is concerning that Michelynn did not respond to your email. I'm afraid that may mean things are not well there. I will keep her in my prayers. Peg, I did macrame years ago too, back when DD was small. I made several projects, and enjoyed it. When DD was 10 and we lived in Switzerland, she was taught to knit in school. It was considered a life skill. We did a lot of traveling by train, and she would knit on the train. There were always some older ladies on the trains, and often they would enjoy watching her and would show her how to do different stitches, etc. They probably thought her mom was a lost cause! Nice memory. It's raining here, and kind of yucky outside. Have a lovely day everyone!
