Over 60 and Still Working/Wednesday

Good morning!

It's going to be rainy here all day, but not particularly cold. Tomorrow will be the cooler day of the week with a high of 62, so I can't complain.

I have meetings most of the day and several calls to squeeze in. Might or might not go to yoga tonight. My regular instructor is off for the holidays.

Thanks for sharing your macrame and knitting stories. I'm crocheting my chain, trying to get my hands to work the right way.

Hi all,

Today will be a fun day as the usual lunch group is meeting, always lots of laughs!!

I did make crockpot cashew clusters last night along with a batch of caramel puffcorn. Today I want to make another batch of puffcorn and brownies. I would really like to get my goody boxes ready for neighbors and friends this afternoon but I may decide that I need to bake something else......probably cinnamon doughnut muffins. In fact I know I will make some of them too.

I still need to finish my Christmas shopping. DH hasn't given me any ideas at all so I am kind of struggling with his gifts. We don't spend a lot on each other but I feel like I want something else for him.

That about does it for now from mid north IN. Wishing everyone a warm dry day....stay cozy! The sun is going to shine on my parade today, how about yours??

Good Morning

Good luck with the crochet - I decided my fingers don't work that way. I do know how to knit but haven't in years although my daughter is what I would call a master knitter. I did the macramé in the 70s too - nice plant hangers!

Went to pool exercise yesterday before work - the colder weather sure has cut down on attendance! But the warm therapy pool water felt great on the body.

Need to get to work for an early meeting. Have a good day.

Good morning all

My usual Wednesday ensemble is not meeting today so I am going in town to an exhibit of illuminated manuscripts. I have been wanting to get there before it leaves.

I am an avid knitter. I always have one or two projects going. Good luck with your crochet Maryenne. You do need to get so your body is comfortable while you work or you will get repetitive motion injuries. It is very satisfying to start with nothing and make some attractive object.

I will keep Michelynn and her family in my prayers.

Good morning everyone from gloomy TN!

Peg, I wish I was one of your neighbors! The goody boxes will be very much appreciated by them, I am sure.

This afternoon I am taking my mom to the doctor. This will be her first time to see this doctor, as she has been seeing the same doctor I see. She decided she wants to switch, however, and see the doctor my dad sees which is fine if it makes her more content. I like both doctors, and think both are very good.

I just can't seem to get into the Christmas spirit this year, but yesterday I did make an effort and put up a small tree. Also got all the gifts wrapped. Even though that didn't put me into the spirit of Christmas, it did feel good to get those things marked off my to-do-list. It's hard to imagine that it's just around the corner!

Good morning friends.
I admire your taking up crocheting Maryenne. I crochet a bit but knit more. My mother and grandmother taught me to knit when I was 10. I am a beginner for crochet. And I also did macrame in the 70's!
Today I am organizing wrapping materials. I may wrap tonight when we get back from the middle school winter concert.
Our RI contender on The Voice came in 2nd. I watched the finals last night to see how Billy Gilman would do. Such a talented young man. So proud of him.
