Good morning! Hope everyone is well this morning. I'm enjoying sitting with my coffee for a bit. I need to take a shower and get ready to go to lunch with my friend who lives at the coast. We had a place in mind but turns out it's closed for a private event, so not sure where we'll go - probably something seafood-ish down at the coast.
It's a beautiful sunny day today and not too cool. So it will be nice to get out.

Maryenne,, we started the thread at the same time. Here is my post from my start:
Good morning all,
We are covered ice this morning. The quantity isn't horrible but somehow the DOT in the Indianapolis was caught and the interstates are a total mess. They have been reporting people stranded on the interstates around the city for like 8 hours (all night). Glad we aren't there.
So with that said, it looks like a good day to wrap presents. I really do hope it warms enough that I can venture to the grocery store. We aren't desperate for anything but I do need to do a little baking tomorrow.
Hope everyone will have a great Saturday and weekend! Time to water the Christmas tree.

I knew we probably were! I had written just "good morning" and then went back to edit.
Hearing stories of snow and ice makes me glad to live down here, mosquitoes and all. Stay warm and stay safe!

Good morning friends. We have about five inches of snow on the ground and it has started drizzling. No WW meeting for me, no robotic competition for two grandsons and I am not likely to get to the stores to get few last Christmas items. That will have to wait for tomorrow after church. Today is a great day to wrap gifts and do the little baking that I do for Christmas. I told DH that next year I'd like to celebrate my birthday in Florida with his sister! I am not loving the icy weather. DH went out to shovel and put down some sand for traction. I am keeping the wood stove going! Have a great day, stay warm and think fondly of Maryenne and her warm weather! Lynn

24 Hours of drizzle off and on and now it is snowing - afternoon is supposed to bring very high winds and heavy snow. I don't have to go anywhere today but for some reason just can't get myself in gear to get much done. Guess I will just let myself drink coffee, watch movies, and be lazy until at least later afternoon. My neighbor sent a message that he does not want to see me outside, he will take care of my driveway for me.
Had good aquasize sessions this week but man, it is dark and cold at 6 in the morning. Have a Christmas box going out today - have set up for postal service to pick up off front deck so it is outside waiting.
Tomorrow I am going to make fudge and take to friends in nursing home - just a few pieces each. I give them other things like warm socks, slippers, and such but thought I would put in a little homemade treat this time too. On the other hand, I have not made it in years - hope it turns out. My once fairly good cooking skills have slipped away as I don't cook much anymore. Cooking for one, I have reached my tolerance for frozen leftovers, etc.
Hope you all have a nice weekend and a good final preChristmas week.
