Good morning and here we are at Monday again

Sounds like everyone is busy with holiday preparations. I had a lovely lunch with my friend at Wakulla Springs. Where we sat we could see the river and our waitperson pointed out that there were manatees popping up just outside our window. It was raining so we didn't go outside but it's always delightful to see them. After I got home, I made an apple cake and did some crocheting.

Esther, I am not familiar with revels. Can you explain what that is?

Lynn, you always stay on the go - I know you deserved some chill time!

Peg, hope you got some sun yesterday - even if it's cold, there's nothing like sunshine to warm your heart.

Janice, bless you for visiting the nursing home. What kind of gifts are you taking?

Joyce, I hope all is well at your house, and Joan, let us know how you are doing.

Good morning all. I did get a chance to relax a bit yesterday. Last night I spent four hours at the hospital with BFF. She went in with chest pains last night. They didn't find anything but kept her for observation and she will have a stress test today. It was her husband's mass that we attended yesterday. I can't help but wonder if the two events aren't connected. She has always had anxiety and is one to keep things in. I got a few hours sleep and will try to get some more in before I check with her later.
Maryenne, I fell in love with manatees the first time I saw them. How lucky you were to be eating lunch near them!

Happy Monday everyone!

Well I didn't stick my nose out of the house at all yesterday......so I am chomping at the bit to get out today. I sat way too much. I was going to bake for our lunch gathering today but it was cancelled due to the lingering ice that we have.....so I really sat way too much.

I did sleep in this morning and laundry is now under control. I want to get out and finish getting stocking stuffers. The house is in good shape for our kids to arrive on Friday. I need to start wrapping the gifts and make a grocery list for their stay. Our major dinner will be on Christmas Eve and we will be having a chicken dish.

That is it for this morning.
