Over 60 and Still Working/Friday

Good morning and TGIF!

I'll be at work today until about 2 - then I have an appointment for hair color. I have a small Penzey's spice box as a gift for my hairdresser. Tomorrow at 9:30 am I'm taking my 10-year-old great nephew to see Star Wars and then we will go to lunch somewhere - probably Applebee's or someplace like that. In the afternoon, I'll make cranberry sauce and then on Sunday I'll cook a turkey and make dressing and gravy to take to my cousins' at 4. I'm off Monday. I'm hoping to squeeze in some crochet time, too.

I know you all are busy with holiday prep. I hope it all goes exactly as planned but if it doesn't I hope you enjoy yourself anyway.

Good morning friends.
Back to RI in a bit. We cleared the porch, purged a lot of stuff and have the room ready for the contractor. This trip's find was my uncle's army dog tags. I am making a shadow box with the family dog tags, two sets of arm and one navy. We discovered that my grandfather was an army engineer in World War I. My son was an army engineer in the early 2000's in Kosovo. We did not discover the similarity until about three years ago.
I am looking forward to seeing the Star Wars movie, too. I also want to see Fences. I would love Viola Davis even if she was not from here and went to one of my Alma Maters. She is very generous to her high school, where her sister teaches.
Enjoy your weekend. Take time for yourself, too. We tend to take care of others and sometimes forget ourselves.

Hi all dear friends,

DD got home about 2 this morning. Needless to say DH and I were already in bed. It is great to have them home. DS is on his way and should be here before dinner. He is trying to outrun the ice/snow across Iowa. The new puppy, Ruddy got to come too and he is adorable, miniature golden doodle.

I still have a few presents to get wrapped so I had better get busy. Have a great holiday!
