Hope you all have a lovely day. Weather in Kansas is warm, wet and windy. Not pretty but better than Ice and snow with all the folks traveling.
Enjoyed viewing a two mile light display last night. It is put up by a local non profit and the proceeds help with their programming for developmentally delayed. It is an impressive bit of volunteer work and my daughter and I drive through on Christmas Eve every year since it is just the two of us.

I got up with the DGSs at 5. Haven't done that for probably 25+ years. DD told them they couldn't open until 6:30 so I kept them company while DD and DSIL got some added sleep. It was awesome because they were thrilled that Santa had come and we even left the doors on the fireplace open for them to see. So much fun. The best part though had to have been when the oldest DGS said a prayer thanking God for Santa and their belief in him. Remember the oldest is 9. It about brought tears to my eyes. This grandma had some very special moments this early morning.

I've made the cranberry sauce and dressing and the turkey is in the oven. We're hoping to leave by 3, but we'll probably be slightly late. Dinner is not until 6, but Cousin wanted us there at 4 for wine and snacks.
I am grateful for this: usually DH is the one who makes us late, because he waits until everything is done to take a shower and get his stuff ready to go. I was so happy that he took his 30-minute shower right after breakfast. This will definitely decrease my usual anxiety waiting for him to get ready.
