Good morning everyone,
Well I have the washer going again this morning, 2nd load going now with probably two of throw and bathroom rugs. I did 7 loads yesterday. I told DH that our water bill will spike for sure but ALL bedding is clean. Huge reason....DSIL got sick with stomach bug on Friday night and middle DGS got sick in the car on their drive back home and threw up twice all over the car. They kept texting us with updates. They made the trip in 11 hours instead of 10 which wasn't too bad considering lots and lots of stops.
Today will be spent mostly reorganizing. I am throwing out old towels, decluttering a linen closet, and getting the closet sorted out in preparation of taking the Christmas Village down tomorrow.
DH got me a new Fitbit for Christmas as my old one was having issues. Anyway it is less sensitive to movement to count steps. Example I got 11 steps putting on slippers this morning laying in bed...LOL. maybe it needs some tweaking.
What is everyone up to this Jan. 2??

Good morning Peg and all to follow, I'm so sorry there were stomach bugs in your family. What a giant load of laundry!
I am grateful to have just one more day off before going back to work! Then a busy week and off to DC on Saturday. But I'll save that for later.
I was mostly lazy yesterday. I worked on my crochet "project" most of the afternoon. It's an online class that teaches you to do a stitch sampler - you learn the stitches and end up with ... something. We'll see. DH cooked a wonderful pork roast dinner last night. He jokes about doing everything, but honestly he won't let me do anything to help. After dinner, we watched the first episode of the new season of Sherlock.
I bought some Meyer oranges Saturday, so today I'm going to make something out of them - I have in my mind a lemon cheese cake, but can't find a recipe I like.
Happy Monday!

Good morning everyone!
Peg, what a lot of laundry. Sorry your family was ill, and hope they are feeling better. I also need to do laundry, but not nearly that much.
Maryenne, the cheesecake sounds very good.
It's another wet and gloomy day here. I am more than ready to see some sunshine. The weather seems to make a big difference in how I "feel." I think we've talked before about how everything just always seems more hopeful when the sun is shining. Hope we start seeing some sunshine soon.
Peg, when do you expect they will actually start the construction on your new house? There's another new one going up down the street from me. It looks as though it is going to be beautiful.
Waving hello to everyone who follows and wishing you all a good day!

Hello and Happy New Year to everyone!
Peg, I am sorry you had to deal with stomach bugs. I was home with a one day bug yesterday. I feel a lot better today. How exciting to be building yourselves a house.
Maryenne - I have had a couple of knit and crochet projects that ended up with a sampler. It is a good way to learn. I still have a vest I made with a variety of stitch patterns in it.
Joyce - I am wishing you sunshine for the new year. It sounds like you need more help with your parents. You have done a remarkable job of caring for them all these years. I hope you don't feel bad about getting them the help they and you need at this point in their lives. I admire your devotion to them. I always expected to care for my mother in her later years, but she did not live past her 60's.
A Very Happy New Year to you all.
