Good morning all ~
Esther, are your children twins or just have close birthdays?
Peg, glad your itchies are gone!
Lynn, hope your cold dissipated!
I'm going to work half day today and then get cash from the bank and maybe a quick stop at Dillard's or somewhere to see if I can find one more sweater. Then home to pack. My flight is at 5:45 tomorrow morning - I'm sure hoping to miss bad weather. First stop is Atlanta and that's always a challenge.
Happy Friday!

Good morning.
Glad the itches are better. Hope it stays that way. Cold here this morning. Right at zero with wind chills about minus fifteen. Snow yesterday. Roads not too bad.
Have a good trip to D.C.
Made a batch of taco soup last night so have something prepared for a few meals.

Good morning all,
The itching is virtually gone so I need to decide whether to start the maintenance pill today or wait until tomorrow. I might wait until tomorrow just to be on the safe side. My cold appears to be breaking up a little too so today will be a good day. I basically sat all day yesterday so I am sure that helped or at least I hope so.
Today I need to run a couple of errands and beyond that I don't have anything planned. I hope to start cleaning out our major storage closet over the weekend.
Maryenne, how little no will you be in DC??
Wishing everyone a great day!!
Peg

Good morning all
My children are 7 years apart, just have close birthdays.
It is snowing here and I am trying to decide whether to go out shopping now or wait until the storm is over. It wasn't too slippery when I walked the dog this morning.
Maryenne - Enjoy your trip to DC.
Peg - I am glad the itches are gone.
Janice - What part of the country do you live in? It sounds cold.

Good morning. We are in the midst of a small winter storm -3 inches of snow so far. DH and I are both down with a cold that has us in it's clutches. We were supposed to go out for some errands but we will wait until the snow stops and we have a chance to shovel. Safe travels Maryenne! Peg, Glad to hear the itches are gone. Esther, I have been working on my hat a little bit each day. Janice, Do you have any snow? Today I am making a potato leek soup. Making soup is one of my favorite things to do in the cold weather. The one I am trying today is a WW recipe. Very simple, leeks, potatoes, broth and sour cream are the major ingredients. Time for one more cup of coffee before packing up some boxes of books. Have a great day. Lynn

Maryenne, thanks for deciphering my keying.....I know I key better than that.....partially me and partially auto correct. The iPad does some weird things. At least that is my story and I am sticking to it.....I really need to reread before I post. 😝

Lynn, I love to make potato leek soup also. I saute them leeks in butter, add the cut-up potatoes, and pour chicken broth or vegetable broth over and let it cook until tender. Then I puree with the immersion blender. Sometimes I add a little milk or sour cream.
I did stop at Talbots and found a turtleneck and sweater, and then went over to Marshall's and found some boots for 30 bucks. I'm pretty much packed now except jewelry and bathroom stuff. Oh, scarves too.

Maryenne, sounds like the recipe I am using! The latest weather report has us getting 4 to 8 inches of snow tomorrow. On top of the 4 inches we got today. I know you are not flying out of Fort Lauderdale but after today's tragedy I have a feeling flying on the East Coast tomorrow will be even longer. Safe travels. Lynn
