Good morning all and good luck with your presentation Maryenne!!
Yesterday was a productive day as all of the laundry is done and I finished sorting the storage closet. I actually made two trips down the stairs with stuff that will go to Goodwill. We finished the afternoon with some errands and a stop for dinner.....a nice end to a good day.
Today I will bag the closet trash and get the rest of the Goodwill stuff down and hopefully out of the house. Nothing major planned outside of home. DH is meeting other retired people from his school corp so I am looking forward to having some home alone time, doesn't happen very often. 😀
We meet with the builder Thursday and we are both looking forward to that. My cold continues to get better, just a nuisance.
Hope everyone has an awesome Tuesday! Remember to shine on your parade if Mother Nature doesn't provide any of the natural stuff.

Good morning everyone!
Peg, I loved reading your cheerful post. It all sounded lovely. I'm excited about your house plans, and hope you will be able to post pictures and let us see it once complete. Do you have any idea when the construction will finish?
I haven't done a very good job of keeping up with the thread lately, so I gather Maryenne is giving a presentation in DC today. Good luck with it, Maryenne, but you're such a pro I know you will do well.
It's a super busy day here. Tomorrow is moving day! Movers will be here at 9:00 in the morning to get my mom and dad's furniture. So my dad will spend the night at the AL tomorrow night. We'll bring my mom when she is released from rehab Thursday morning. So MUCH to be done!! When I stop and think about it, I get overwhelmed so I am trying not to think but just keep working like a robot to get it accomplished. It will come together, but I am very anxious. I wouldn't worry nearly as much if this was a move DH and I were making. I worry because I feel so responsible for them, and want everything to go as smoothly as possible. Sometimes I can be my own worst enemy with the worrying, but at 67 I don't know how to change. So I will just hang on tight and keep forging ahead. It will all come out well in the end.
Looking forward to getting my life back into a normal routine, being able to just sit down with coffee and peruse the threads and the Internet news each morning. Looking forward to just being able to spontaneously go out for lunch with DH, etc. It's the little things like that which I have missed the most.
Wishing each one of you a lovely day, and as Peg said lots of sunshine.

Joyce, as I've said before you are an awesome daughter and your DH is so committed to your parents too. They are very lucky to have the two of you. Hopefully you will have a restful morning cup of coffee in just a couple of days. Virtual hugs and prayers continue for all of you.

Joyce - Best wishes for a smooth move for your parents and you. This is a big day for your family.
Peg - Good luck with your building project.
Maryenne - Knock 'em dead!
I woke up this morning to the sound of water falling on my ceiling. I had to wake up my neighbor at 6am to check her water. This week everything is breaking. My printer died yesterday. My living room light went off last Friday. I spent two hours on the phone with Microsoft yesterday and they couldn't solve my software problems. I think my antivirus and the Windows program are not compatible. This morning my mouse was dead. None of this is earth shattering, just a series of nuisances that have to be taken care of. The electrician is coming on Friday so that is one thing fixed, I hope. I may have to buy a new printer. This one has already lasted for 8 years. I just need to attend to one problem at a time and be grateful they are not more serious.
Have a good Tuesday all.

Good afternoon all. Esther, wise advice to attend to one problem at a time. That's all we can do, but like Joyce I tend to get anxious about the many things that need to be done. I remember a fable from childhood about a small creature accomplishing a monumental task by tackling it in small but steady steps. Peg, nice job on the organizing and purging! Maryenne should be done with her presentation today. I hope she can relax and enjoy the rest of her time at the conference. I had a great loss at WW this morning. I weighed, measured and tracked every day and the payoff was great! I cleaned out two kitchen drawers yesterday. I tossed, gave away and put things in their proper places. Yay! The guest room is next. I am on a roll! Have a great day. Lynn
