Good morning all ~ back to work today, but first a visit to the colonoscopy clinic for a consult. I wasn't able to have one last year because I'm on blood thinners. Not sure what they'll say today, since I'm still on them.
Lots of catching up to do at work, including writing a report of my trip to DC last week and sending follow-up emails. It will be in the 70s here today.
Janice, I'm glad you were spared the ice storm!
Hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning
Maryanne - will be interesting to see about colonoscopy. I have been on blood thinners for several years and had to go off them for a few days for colonoscopy. They did say if polyps were found I would have to have them removed in a procedure at the hospital not at the time of colonoscopy.
Have checkup with cardiologist this morning. Next week primary care doctor and mammogram. Seems the appointments get clustered together.
Hope you all have a good day

Good morning ladies,
I am feeling lots better, the fever is gone but the cough continues but it is better too. I didn't do much yesterday but lay around, nap and a couple loads of laundry.
Nothing much planned for today either but finish the laundry and maybe try to generate more trash for tomorrow's collection. I know of a couple of things that I think can be grabbed pretty easily. No stress on this body this week. You all know me too well and know I would love to be in the kitchen baking something......ummmm cookies, muffins....I will have to wait until this afternoon and see how I am feeling. LOL!!
We are having well above temps this week, even our low temps are to stay above freezing. I wonder what this will do to the plants, bugs, etc.
Have a wonderful day!!
Peg

Good morning!
Hope all goes well with your doctor appointments today both Maryenne and Janice. Janice, you're right about the medical appointments getting clustered together; and, as we get older it seems there are more and more of them.
I'm online earlier than usual this morning. What sleep I got last night was on the couch. It is a recliner, and somehow I was able to rest my pinched nerve better there than in the bed. May try that again tonight. It doesn't give a restful night's sleep, but I did get more sleep than I have been getting. I called and set up the appointment for the second injection yesterday. I can't get them closer than 2 weeks apart. That would actually be this Friday, but the doctor won't be in so I made the appointment for next Monday. I really hope this second one will do the trick. The first one made things better for a few days, but now I'm right back where I was before getting it. Have any of you ever had experience with this?
Talked with the social worker at the rehab center yesterday, and she says that my mom is still on track for release Thursday. I know she will be glad to get settled in with my dad.
Maryenne, how's it coming with filling in your sink hole? That's bizarre and frightening.
Have a good day everyone!

Good morning friends! Janice, I am glad that you were spared the ice storm. It looked scary on the television reports. It seems the annual medical visits do get clustered together. In May and early June I have my annual woman visits. Gym, mammogram and bone density. Good times! Joyce, I did not have back issues but when I had knee surgery a couple of years ago the only way I could sleep for the first few days was in the recliner. Like you said not quality sleep, but sleep nonetheless. I hope the second injection gives more relief. Nerve pain is the worst! Peg, glad to hear that your cold is better. There is a virus going around here that seems to last three weeks before leaving. Sniffles, couugh, sinus pain, headache. I am entering week 3. Luckily no fever and the sinus pain and headache are gone. Maryenne, I have a feeling that since you have been on the blood thinners for a while now they will probablyhave you discontinue them for a short period around the time of the colonoscopy. That has been the experience of my friends on blood thinners. I guess the doctyand patient look at the pros and cons of the procedure versus being off the mess gor a few days. Have a great day. Off to my WW meeting then to our attorney for a routine real estate transaction involving a right of way before heading to the Berkshires for a few days. Lynn
