Hello all and happy Friday!
Peg, glad you had a good report and that you're making progress in your sorting. Lynn, your weekend sounds absolutely wonderful! Joyce, I know you are grateful for the calm. Esther, hope your massage was fabulous. Janice, glad your doc appointment was good!
This morning I have a meeting with my new boss and my old boss to talk about one of my projects. I am going to try to have the new boss in any meeting I have with her so we are both hearing the same thing at the same time. I will work half day today and then head up to Thomasville, GA for my rheumatology appointment. My chronic condition has been mostly in remission for so long that I think I'm going to ask if I can cut back my appointments to 2-3 x a year rather than 4.
Peg, my yoga class is in a studio called Namaste. All of the instructors are women. My class is called Gentle Yoga and it's taught by a woman about my age.
OK, better head to work. Hope you all have a great day!

Hi all,
It is soooo nice to be feeling good again in fact I've made some chocolate chip scones for breakfast. Yummy with fat and sugar both cut back.
I second Maryenne's happy Friday wish. I will be doing more decluttering today. My craft room is a total disaster right now with stuff out everywhere. The trash bag has some stuff in it BUT I am also going to have to get a couple of tubs out so I can pack some stuff up. I did have a couple good trips down memory lane when I came across our son's baby wall hanging and his infant hospital cap. He was born with a clef lip that was repaired when he was 9 days old and we fed him using a surrenge (sp) for the first weeks. He is a remarkable grown man!! Can you tell I'm very proud?? 😃
We had some light snow over night.
Wow!! I just got an appt at noon today to get my hair cut. Thank goodness because I am truly in need since I had to cancel my appt last week.
Wishing everyone an awesome day!!
Peg

Good morning all
Bonita and I are on our way to a therapy dog visit to an Alzheimer's unit. We have gone there enough so she is part of the residents' routine and they remember her. They are so welcoming that she is very relaxed there and enjoys our visits.
I have put chicken and vegetables in the crockpot for dinner.
The massage was good. I slept all night.
Peg - Enjoy your haircut.
Maryenne - having your new boss in the meeting sounds like a good strategy.
Have a great Friday!

Good morning friends!
Maryenne, hope both your meeting and your doctor's appointment go well today.
Peg, so very happy that you are feeling better! The scones sound delicious, and the decluttering project seems to be going well.
Esther, it's great that you and Bonita can help at the Alzheimer's unit. I am quickly learning firsthand what a dreadful disease this is.
Janice and Lynn, waving to you!
It's cold here this morning, in the low 30s, and I'm seeing some snowflakes out my window although I don't expect it to amount to anything. This morning my mom has a follow-up appointment with her regular doctor. DH will go with me to take her to help get her in and out of the car without causing any more pain than can possibly be avoided. She had a pretty good day yesterday, so the new schedule and dosage on the pain meds are definitely helping. Just hoping she can build up some strength soon as she is very weak. Still things have definitely been better for the past couple of days. I continue to be very pleased with the AL facility. Nothing is going to be perfect for everyone, but I am so grateful to have found what I think seems to be the very best place for them at this stage.
I am joining Peg in trying to declutter. Going about it very slowly, as my back is not 100% yet, but it is much better. Gradually getting the house back into pre-caregiving mode. Reclaiming the hallway linen closet, etc. Have a lot of stuff to go through of my mom and dad's. Much of it I'm sure needs to be tossed, but I am hesitant to do much of that until I feel confident there's nothing there that they are not going to suddenly ask for. Lots and lots of old paperwork stuffed into boxes, etc. that definitely needs to go, but much of it will need to be shredded as well so it's not a fast project, but I have time.
Hope you are all looking forward to a good weekend!

Esther, are you missing the upcoming hectic tax season?? Hopefully you are still glad you have totally retired.
Joyce, do you ever miss your tax job anymore?? You probably haven't had anytime to miss it over this last year.
I'm still waiting on 1099 forms for our retired teachers' pensions. I do hope to get our taxes filed before we leave for FL on Valentine's Day. We also need the completed forms to proceed with the financial aspect of our home construction.

Good morning all. Janice, starting the day with aquasize sounds great! Enjoy your wine tonight! Peg, your scones sound wonderful. I can smell them here in MA! Esther, Bonita sounds like a sweetheart. Enjoy your visit today. Maryenne, good idea to have both bosses at the meeting, especially since the former appears to be thriving on drama. Perhaps she should look into community theater as an outlet rather than work! Joyce, I hope your back is improving. Good luck to your mother today with her appointment. We are doing some routine errands here today. I have to go see the insurance agent to pay the homeowner's insurance. Then off to get some lamps. Tonight is the beer dinner. Have a fantastic Friday! Lynn
