Good morning ladies, The decluttering of my craft room continued for only about an hour yesterday but I am starting to put things back into the closet. I can actually see blank areas again on the carpet and I have one plastic tub filled and labeled ready for moving. I did get my hair cut and it is ready for the next 7 weeks. The gal that cuts my hair raised her price to $50 for cut and styling. I love her to death but that seems ridiculously high. May I ask what you gals have to pay?? She has cut all of our hair for probably 30 years and does a wonderful job but? I think we are feeding her retirement account. Anyway I would appreciate any input from you guys. Today I plan on going to Sam's Club for a couple of items and will make the run to Goodwill, now that we even have more stuff to donate. Hope everyone has a wonderfully relaxing Saturday. Everyone is in my thoughts and prayers. Peg

Good Morning! Enjoying a second cup of coffee and then I must start getting busy - a bit of a slow starter this morning. I am going to have lunch with a friend in the nursing home and I need to shop a bit for another resident so I have to get moving. The one gal no longer gets dressed but wears pajamas all the time. JCPenney has had a great sale going online so I ordered her four pair of new pj's -- will deliver those too.
The dog was groomed yesterday so I am glad it is a sunny day otherwise she would be outside digging in the mud. At least she will look good for a few days!
Haircuts - I pay $22 for my haircut - have gone to the same person for 10 or so years. I do get a cut every four weeks though as I wear it very short and it gets shaggy, nasty if I go longer so while I pay less than you, Peg, it ends up about the same with the frequent cuts I get.
Well - coffee is gone. Have a lovely weekend.

Good morning friends. Peg, I pay $40 at the salon, but at the cosmetology school I can get it cut for $20. Are there any cosmetology schools near you? I have been very pleased with my visits for eyebrows and deep conditioning treatments. I agree $50 is a bit much. I am anxious for DGD to be finished with school and working! Decluttering is so freeing! DH isn't feeling the same way, though. I think he is not looking forward to my moving my decluttering operations down to the basement or out to the garage, whee he has squirreled stuff away for forty years! Our beer dinner was great last night. We had some beer that w would not have tried on our own. Some we loved, some we did not. The food pairing was outstanding. An excellent night overall. DS came up yesterday for a couple of days. I am off to oversee breakfast preparation. Have a great day. Lynn

Good morning everyone!
Peg, I agree that $50 does sound high. I have been using the same person for over 10 years now, and for a shampoo, cut, and style she charges $32.
It's cold this morning, but the sun is shining brightly and you all know how much I like seeing sunshine. This is the first we've seen in quite awhile, so it really looks good and brightens my spirits.
DH and I went out for breakfast, and a little later after going to check on my mom and dad we're going to just "bum" around for the day. One thing I want to do is start looking for a new computer for myself. This one is starting to give me some issues, and I want to get another one before it bites the dust and also before I start doing our taxes. The one I have now is a laptop and it's about 5 years old.
Have a lovely day everyone!

Good morning everyone, Slept in a little and now have some laundry ready to go into the dryer. I'm going to tidy my little den today, make some soup, and change out the shower curtain liner in the guest bathroom. Lucille and Irene like to chase each other into the tub and then play-fight from either side of the liner. Irene stuck her claw through it and now it has a rip. Peg, I think I pay that or maybe more. I go to a high-end salon because I'm worth it! Who knows if I'll be able to keep this up after I retire though. DH goes to Cuts R Us and pays $12, but he has little to no hair. So I amortize my expenditure across both of us. LOL I'm going back to DC on Tuesday, just for two nights, so I'll try to put my clothes together for that. I'm determined to pack light this time - wear the same thing up and back for instance. Happy Saturday! Maryenne
