Good morning all. DD set up our new printer and connected both laptops through the wireless. I can even print from my phone! Today I have a hair appointment then lunch with DD. Tonight we are going to Night at the Museum at the grandkid's school. I have beef stew in the crockpot. Have to run, have a great day! Lynn

Lynn, you and I were posting at the same time this morning........so here is my post.....
Good morning dear friends,
Yesterday was a good day complete with sunshine!!
Later today we will be heading to Omaha for the weekend. I am anxious to see DD and her family. Since we have earned a free hotel night with Hampton Inn points we are going to only drive half way this afternoon and enjoy the trip/drive. We have a favorite restaurant that we will have dinner at tonight too. It is just a short walk from the hotel.
Hope everyone has a great Thursday!!

Good morning and Happy Groundhog's Day! Hope that groundhog is going to predict that spring is on the way!
Things were better with my mom and dad yesterday. Their home health physical therapist came yesterday also and worked with my mom on being able to get out of the building in case of fire. I know I worry way too much about them, and I am really trying to be better about that. I'm far from achieving it, but I am working on it so maybe I will get there or at least get better about it.
Going to the grocery store this morning. I haven't been in awhile, and yesterday when I asked my usual question about what I might be able to bring my mom and dad on the next visit my mom asked for cornbread and buttermilk. It's an old southern thing. Not sure if those of you in the north and northeast have ever eaten that or not. I don't like it myself, but my mom loves it. She has not been eating well at all, so I was delighted to have her ask for that. So I will get the buttermilk and bake the cornbread before going to visit them today.
Waving both hands at everyone who stops by later. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hi all, I'm in the Atlanta airport waiting for.my flight home. It has been a great trip and wasn't very cold. I'll get to Tallahassee at 3 and then we'll stop at cvs to pick up a prescription. Back to work tomorrow.

Hello
Joyce, glad to hear things are going better with the mom and dad. I am not familiar with buttermilk and cornbread as a combination. However, in Minnesota (and I am sure many other places) there was "graveyard stew" which was buttered toast with hot milk poured over it. Not something that I would eat but my college roommate would make a bowl when she was feeling "punk". We did make cornbread often at my home. Served it for breakfast with bacon or fresh pork slices.
Hope you made it home okay, Maryenne.
And Peg - hope you are enjoying your evening at the half way stop - what town is that? Des Moines? Oh, guess I really don't know your starting point, but thinking somewhere around Indianapolis - or am I totally off?
Swim exercise this morning - I think I might be starting to have skin irritation from the pool chemicals. Think I will stay out a few days.
Have a good evening.
Janice
