Joyce, I am so happy to hear that your hopes are high and things are going well with your parents. You have been through a lot and I hope you continue to have pleasant days.

Peg, I'm sorry about your DS's situation and pray that everything will work out for the best for them. Take it easy today and rest up from your trip if you can.

Esther, I agree with Joyce that you are indeed a good supportive friend.

Lynn, it is very nice to have a partner who can take care of things like the AC.

I spent most of yesterday working on one of the presentations I have to give in San Diego. It's coming together, but I have another one I haven't started yet, and people keep putting things on my calendar. I thought I was going to have a no-meeting day today, and the same person has calendared two different meetings. Oftentimes, these are about things that could be settled with a simple conversation.

Anyway, after work I'll go to the grocery store as we are woefully out of the basics.

Hi all,

Maryenne, as I have said many time she before, I don't miss meetings. Hope you are able to have a productive day. When do you leave for San Diego?? Anymore thoughts on retirement??

We got home about 7 last night, 600 miles in about 9 1/2 hours wasn't bad including all of our RR, food and gas stops. I even got 4000 steps in.

As for today the laundry is started and the cleaning gals will be here in to an hour. I want to submit our taxes and start the new house loan application this afternoon. We meet with our builder and real estate agent tomorrow morning. I have a blood draw this afternoon and will stop at the grocery store on my way back home.

We are having a thunder storm is morning. i will have to shine Bright on my own parade today. HAVe a good one,

Good morning everyone! It's rain and thunderstorms here as well today, and very warm. At 8 this morning it was 61*! So like Peg I will need to shine on my own parade today.

I got started on taxes yesterday, but only worked a short time so not nearly finished. This morning I need to do some paperwork for our rentals, and this afternoon I'm taking my mom for her eye injection. That's always very hard on her nerves even in the best of times, so I really dread it for her. DH will go with me this time to help get her in and out of the car. She's gaining strength, but still weak and having pain. I worry that if I try to do it on my own that I might hurt her or God forbid let her fall. So I'm grateful that he can go and help. Yesterday when I went to visit she was still in good spirits though. That makes me feel so much better.

Maryenne, hope you are able to get some things accomplished today even with the distraction of meetings. I know you miss the chance to have uninterrupted time to work on the presentations. Most of the time in my experience, meetings have actually accomplished very little.

Good afternoon all.
I had a good weigh in at WW this morning. Three weeks of staying on program is paying off! I went to the recycling center and then to drop off another box of books. The books are done, CDs are the next items to be sorted and decluttered.
I had a terrible time sleeping last night. I kept waking up from bizarre dreams and not falling asleep. Ugh! I will get in a nap this afternoon before I head out for a basketball fundraiser with BFF.
I did get bills paid and the check book balanced this afternoon. We have cloudy, dreary weather today. No storms like other parts of the country.
Everyone sounds busy today. Hope everyone has a productive, uneventful day. Lynn

Good afternoon

Snow and rain here today. It didn't seem to stop the enjoyment of the Patriots fans downtown. I went to one of the celebrations when the Red Sox won and it is exciting to be part of such a happy, enthusiastic crowd.

I am still working on getting my computer together. I have an external hard drive with a backup on it, but I am not sure how to restore it. I do one or two programs each day and it will all get done eventually. I did not install Turbo Tax since I was having trouble with the machine so I will be starting from scratch with that program. I have my own and some family tax returns to do this year.

Joyce - I hope your parents continue to do well.

Good morning friends,

I didn't sleep well last night -- combination of stress and worry, I guess. When I did fall asleep, I had dreams about work. Ugh.

We had big storms earlier in the evening, but fortunately we didn't lose power, although a lot of people did.

Tonight I'm going to my gentle yoga class after work. I really need it this week.
