Good morning all ~ I'm think I'm in the right place now. Peg, thank you for rescuing my post and putting it in the right place. Clearly I was not being very mindful yesterday morning. Yoga helped a lot last night and I'm feeling much more focused today. We have a job opening in our office and they've put me on the interview panel. The interviews start today. Two people who were experts in a particular area left at the same time - one retired suddenly and her co-worker moved to Nashville. It left a huge knowledge gap and the new boss is just barely keeping his head above water trying to understand his new job. We've all been called on to pick up the slack and that's much of what's created the pressure on all of us. In addition to our regular jobs, we're all having to learn things we never did before. So hopefully one of the candidates for the opening will be able to step right in and fill the void. Meanwhile, my San Diego trip is looming closer and with it the pressure to find the time to finish my two presentations. Sorry for the all-about-me vent! As always, I do think of you all every day and am so grateful for your friendship. Maryenne

Good morning Maryenne and ATF,
Maryenne, yoga is good for distressing, glad you were able to do that last night. when do you leave for San Diego??
Our meeting with our builder went well yesterday and we now have a signed contract. We will need to be careful with upgrades so we don't drive the price up. I finished the bank papers last night too.
Today will be a quiet day for me as DH has an afternoon meeting. Hopefully I will be able to declutter a little more today.
We got about 3" of snow yesterday......Esther, it sounds like you may get a lot more snow today......stay safe!
Today is sunny! Smile bright!
Peg

Good morning all, Maryenne, you are certainly in a high pressure situation right now. "Breathe in, breathe out, move on." -Jimmy Buffett It sounds like the yoga is helpful in restoring calm for you. Don't worry about using us as a sounding board, we have all done it from time to time. How did you make out with the HVAC system? Peg, how exciting that the plans are in place with the builder! When do they start? How long will it take? We are expecting at least a foot of snow today. We had a couple of rounds of thunder snow this morning. It doesn't happen often and it is really cool. The snow was coming down very heavily and there were several cracks of very loud thunder. Today is a good day for working on taxes and knitting. I am working on a car seat blanket for my great granddaughter and will get started on a hat for one of my grandsons. Esther, stay safe! How much snow are you expecting? Joyce, how is your son in law doing? I hope your parents are doing well. You have a lot on your plate and yet you have been very positive. Hugs to you and your family. Janice, how are things with you? Tomorrow is wine night with your neighbors! Enjoy. Have a great day! Lynn

Good morning everyone! Maryenne, things are very stressful for you right now. The yoga can help, and it helps to vent as well. This is a very good place to do it.
Peg, planning for the new house is so exciting! Glad that it is moving along. When should it be completed?
Lynn, that's a lot of snow you are expecting! We would be completely paralyzed by that here. Did you get the spring soaps made?
Esther and Janice, waving to you.
It's about 30 degrees cooler here than yesterday, but the sun is shining brightly and that is always good for my spirits. I did get our taxes completed yesterday, but want to go over them again before filing. As expected, we owe which is never any fun, but it is what it is as the saying goes. Yesterday when I went to visit my mom and dad my mom was having a bad day. I think going to get her eye injection the day before was just too nerve racking and got her too much out of her established routine. It may take a few days now for her to settle back down. She was upset and crying, although none of the things she thought were happening to her actually were, i.e., nurses not giving her medicine, occupational therapist coming when she wasn't supposed to come, people keeping secrets from her, etc. I know I have said it before, but Alzheimers is really a horrible disease. Previously we did have 4 relatively good days, however, so maybe she'll settle back down soon. I know she is miserable, and it upsets me because there is nothing I can do to make things better for her.
Have a lovely day everyone!
