Good morning and thank you all for commiserating with me yesterday. I'm very glad it's Friday. I'll be busy today, but am looking forward to tomorrow, doing a little shopping for some needed items. Today I have only one interview to conduct, and the rest of the day is mine to work on my presentations. My older son is in Guatemala for the next two weeks doing some workshops for the university there. He has been getting gradually more depressed in Buffalo with the cold and dark there which he's certainly not used to. The warm sunshine seems to be doing him good. I hope you all have a great Friday! Maryenne

Hi all and TGIF!!
Yesterday was a totally crazy day between trying to get my chemo maintenance drug prescription straightened out, the financing for our new home, as well as trying to get an answer from the builder. There is a possibility that we may just walk away from the building contract. Today should be an interesting one. Otherwise we will be having lunch with our usual group which is always a good time.
Our temps are to warm up but not much sun expected.
BBL, Peg

Good morning from frosty Boston
I think we got 10 inches here. I did some shoveling but had to quit because of back pain. Someone shoveled out the driveway and cleaned off my car! I think it was my upstairs neighbor. I'll have to ask her tonight.
The dog and I are visiting the Alzheimer's unit later this morning. She is having a lot of trouble walking in the cold and snow. It was 8 degrees out when we went out this morning.
I need to try to get some groceries today, also. I am still putting everything back together on the computer. I need to figure out how to retrieve my pictures and documents.
Maryenne - I hope things calm down for you soon.
Peg - What happened with your builder? That has to be a real hassle if you are having trouble with him.
Waves to Lynn and Janice. Has anyone heard from Michelynn?

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, so glad you are getting some time to work on the presentations today. I can relate to the dark days being depressing, and I can imagine Buffalo would be especially hard in the winter for someone used to warmth and sunshine. Glad your son is getting a chance to be in what I imagine is a lovely place like Guatemala.
Peg, so sorry to hear there are already issues about the new house project! It must be a pretty serious issue for you to consider walking away, but if you think this is not the best contractor for you better to find that out now than further down the road. Good luck as you try to get this all straightened out.
Esther, how nice that your neighbor shoveled for you! You do so many nice things for others, that it is really good to know that someone did something nice for you as well. It's cold here this morning, but the sun is shining and supposed to warm up to 62* so come on down and have a cup of coffee with me.
Lynn and Janice, waving to you as well as anyone else who stops by later.
My mom was better when I visited yesterday. Not great, but definitely better so maybe things will smooth back out sooner than I had feared. I really wish we could get her pain stopped, but I am afraid that as the doctor indicated she is going to be one of those khypolasty patients who will always have pain. I know the pain meds can't be good for the Alzheimers, or at least I don't see how they could. Still that's one of those things beyond my control, so I am focusing on the good. She had a better day yesterday! Yay! Today I think DH and I are going to get out and go for lunch and maybe a drive or something. It's nice to be able to do that again.
Have a lovely day everyone!

Good morning friends. Esther, what a nice thing for someone to do! Hope your visit goes well. Maryenne, I am glad you have time to work on your presentation today. The change of latitude should be helpful for your son. Sunshine is in short supply in New England in the winter! Buffalo is usually the snow capital of New England. I don't mind the cold as much as the short number of sunlight hours. Peg, sounds like you had a yucky day yesterday. Hope today is better. Contractor woes are the worst! I have only ever dealt with contractors that I know personally, I can't imagine dealing with one I did not know. Joyce, enjoy your drive today. It is the little things that are so wonderful! Small improvements with your mother are great! I had a good rheumatologist appointment this morning. By the time I got home the pharmacy called and my prescription was ready! However, my primary care physian's office did not make the referral as I requested in person three weeks ago. Gr. . . I called twice today and left messages with them. It may be time to find a new primary care doctor. I love him but his staff is a little lacking in detail apparently. That's my gripe for the day and in the big picture it's a little one. The sun is finally out here in RI. I will get out to replenish my Vitamin D. Hello Janice, enjoy your wine tonight. Have a wonderful day! Lynn
