Esther, I'm glad someone took care of the snow for you. As Joyce said, you do so much for others!

Peg, keep us posted on your builder saga. I hope you can move forward with or without.

We're doing a rare Saturday outing today. I'm meeting a woman to look at some "gently used" purses she's selling on our local FB sale page. I'm meeting her in the same shopping center as the olive oil store and DH wants to browse there. We'll probably do some other shopping as well - Chico's is near there and I need to replenish my travel-friendly clothes for my San Diego trip.

Good morning all,

Maryenne, your day sounds like fun! Enjoy!!

I am really ready to leave on vacation on Monday.

As for our construction project. We missed the builder's call yesterday so I called him back with no answer so I called him twice leaving two messages. So far no call back. I told him he could call anytime this weekend. I figure it is back in his court.

Today I need to get the bills paid and make a run for additional underwear so maybe I won't have to do any laundry while we are gone. The 3" of snow that we got on Wed. has basically all melted and our temps are already in the mid 40's.

Good morning!

Hope you find some travel friendly clothes you really like today, Maryenne. Chico's is a good place to shop for that sort of thing.

Peg, I know you are going to Florida on vacation, but where and for how long? Hope you have a wonderful time, and that your builder issues get resolved soon.

It's a gloomy day here, and rain is in the forecast although it hasn't started yet. Step-son #2 and family are stopping by at lunchtime. We're just ordering in pizza so nothing to have to prepare. Later DH and I are going to shop for a new guest room bed and mattress set. When we moved my mom and dad in with us we got rid of one set of bedroom furniture to make them a sitting room. Then when we moved them to AL we moved the bedroom set they were using with them so now I have two empty bedrooms. I have some of my mom and dad's things stored in one. Just going to leave that for the time being, but do want to get bedroom furniture for the second room. It will rarely get used, but it is nice to have when needed rather than having to utilize a hotel for guests. We have a good quality, queen size air mattress that can be used for grandchildren when needed.

Good morning everyone,
We got a couple more inches of snow overnight and it seems we are expecting a couple of more storms this week. It looks like Narnia in my back yard! I am waiting for the lion and witch to come by!
I may venture out to the book store. DH and our oldest grandson are going to shovel a path to the compost bin.
Peg, how frustrating the contractor issues are! I hope you can get this resolved one way or another soon. Focus on your upcoming Florida vacation, it will be a welcome change from the daily routine.
Maryenne, I hope you find the clothes you are looking for and a purse, too! The olive oil store sounds interesting. I love different olive oils. I keep a couple of different ones on hand. Enjoy your outing!

We had a lovely day out. Chico's was a bust though. The store had the appearance of being on its last legs - not much merchandise and nothing caught my eye.  Tonight we're going to eat leftovers and watch episodes of Foyle's War.
