Good morning friends ~
I've made good headway on my presentations this week and have enlisted one of my consultants to work on the formatting of the powerpoints. I was going to ship the materials out to the hotel to store for me, until they told me there's a $10 storage fee per day. So I might figure out how to carry them on or send them to a local Kinkos. Also, I wanted to tell you how much I like my new boss. He is really doing a great job maneuvering around the drama queen who runs our department.
Yoga tonight - yay!
Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

Good morning everyone,
We have made it to Valdosta, GA. Yesterday was our big driving day with lots of bumper to bumper traffic around Nashville and Atlanta. We started out with a little sleet in the morning but had sun by noon and 78 degree temps by 3.....gorgeous.
This morning is a quiet one as we are meeting DH's niece and her DH for lunch just an hour south of here then we are having dinner with another of DH's extended family near Orlando tonight.
Hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day yesterday and Happy Hump Day!
Peg

Good morning
Glad to hear that you are happy with the new boss, Maryenne - that makes all the difference!
Sounds like you are having a nice trip Peg.
Here in Kansas, we are heading into a warm spell of 70 degree days. Not normal for this time of year, and it is very dry. Glad we don't have the ice and snow but we do need the moisture. Don't know how the plants will handle the weather - I have iris and other things sprouting from the ground and it is too early for that.
Finally got the last piece of tax information so have filed my return. And, I had enough withheld so will get a small refund -- I do find it annoying that I am still working full time, contributing to my Simple IRA, and still have to take the RMD each year -- hits the taxes hard.
Hope you all have a good day.
Janice

Good morning everyone!
It's cool but not that cold (40s), and I can see the sun among the clouds so that's much better than the cold rain we had all day yesterday. Yesterday I got the carpets cleaned. They really needed it, and so it's nice to have that done. Today the furniture store is supposed to deliver the new bed, so gradually we are returning to a normal lifestyle here. My mom and dad are both gaining strength, and so I'm feeling good about that. In fact I was thrilled to find that my mom actually felt able to get up and go to breakfast with my dad yesterday. That's the first time since she got to the AL, so that's a real improvement. In the past my mom has always been a morning person. She is also talking more which is another good sign, as she has always been a very talkative person much more so than my dad or I. So I am feeling a little better every day about their situation.
Wishing each of you a lovely day, and waving to Esther, Lynn, and anyone else who stops by later.

Good morning friends. It's supposed to get to the 40's today! The ice is starting to melt but it makes walking interesting in some places. We are going to get some sand that the town is making available to residents. I have a hair appointment with my granddaughter this afternoon, a few high lights and deep conditioning. The cosmetology school is a great value and I like helping the students become more proficient in their skills. I am checking to see if there is a massage school around here! The eye appointment went fairly well yesterday. My cataracts have grown "significantly " but are not yet "ripe". I have to go back in 6 months. I have noticed difficulties in really bright sun and some headlights at night. Joyce, I am glad that your parents are settling in and that your mother is showing some improvement. Maryenne, your new boss sounds great! He'll have your back with the drama queen. Peg, enjoy Florida! We are picking up our maps today and starting to plan our trip. I am looking forward to some palm trees and warm weather. Safe travels! Janice, your temperatures are unseasonably warm. As long as that doesn't last too long the plants should be okay. Last year the New England apple crop took a beating with late freezing temperatures after the normal spring temperatures. Esther, is there a local high school near you? Many high schools have a community service component that could involve things such as snow removal. I have used them for leaf raking and give them a tip since they don't charge. It might be worth looking into with the guidance department. Have a great day! Lynn
