Good morning!
Peg, you must be in the Orlando area now. I hope the weather and the traffic will treat you well. You mentioned visiting someone in a hospital near Celebration. Is that Florida Hospital? My brother was in that hospital 5 years ago or so, when he was taken ill while vacationing at Disney. It seems like a very good hospital.
Joyce, I'm so so happy to hear that your Mom is doing so well. You deserve many good days free from worry and she and your Dad deserve the as well!
Janice, enjoy that warm weather! I've had daffodils come up and then be killed off by a late frost. But still, they are harbingers of spring.
Lynn, we have an Aveda school here. I'm tempted...
Well, one of my presentations is done and the handouts are all printed. The other presentation ... well, I might be finishing it over the weekend. But my consultant should be getting it back to me this morning and I'm hopeful her design will inspire me to finish it up sooner.
Hope you have a great Thursday!

Good morning all
We have snow coming down and it looks like we got a couple of inches overnight. I am deciding whether or not to go to my Israel class this morning. I don't think I want to drive in this weather. The roads don't look very good. The class was called off last week, but schools are generally delayed a couple of hours today.
We had a massage school near here for years and I used to enjoy the student massages. Unfortunately they closed in December.
Maryenne - I hope your presentations come out as well as you hope for.
Joyce - It is great that your mother is doing better.
Peg - I hope your trip continues to go well. It must be nice to be in warm weather in the winter.
I think I am going to stay home this morning and practice for the contra dance for tomorrow night. This afternoon we have a therapy dog visit at a local hospital. They should have the roads cleared by then.
Have a good Thursday everyone.

Good morning everyone,
We made it to Orlando in good shape yesterday. We met DH's hospitalized cousin's wife for dinner and then went to the hospital to visit. We are relaxing this morning for a little bit longer and will then visit the cousin again before heading toward Sarasota. We will be on the Gulf Coast then until Monday when we head back toward Orlando, more time with DH's extended family before checking into Disney World for several days. The sky is perfectly clear this morning.....gorgeous.
Maryenne, when do you fly to San Siego?
Thinking about all of you!
Peg

Good morning all. Peg, the Florida weather must be a nice change from the northern winter! Esther, it's amazing how the weather can be so different in Boston and RI! It's sunny here but who knows how long that will last? You are wise to stay off the roads until they are in better condition. Maryenne, one presentation prep done! Good news! I don't know about Aveda, but the school here doesn't let the students go on the floor to work on clients until they have had a certain number of class room hours and have passed a practical test. Yesterday I got some high lights and a deep conditioning treatment for a quarter of the price I pay at my salon. When she graduates and gets a position in a salon I will transfer to her. Meanwhile I have an excellent hairdresser. Joyce, the freshly cleaned carpets must feel refreshing. Will the furniture arrive today? It will be nice to have the bedroom restored to its original purpose. Janice, I had a similar daffodil experience where they got nipped by the warm weather followed by a freeze. They were fine the following year but I did miss my splash of yellow. We have irises and daffodils as our spring bulbs. The deer leave them alone but treat tulips like snacks! So I have no more tulips. I buy them at the florist since the deer don't come inside! Our big adventure today is to drop off stuff at the CPAs for estate taxes for DFIL's estate, a trip to the warehouse store for household supplies and tonight we are going to the school district spelling bee. One of our grandsons is in it. Enjoy your day, especially the little things because they are the best ! Lynn

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, great that you have one presentation completed. Hopefully the second one will go quickly.
Esther, Boston is getting hit hard with snow this year. I second Lynn in urging you to be cautious if you get out.
Peg, hope you are having lots of sunshine and beautiful weather to enjoy your trip.
Lynn, the furniture came yesterday and the mattress set will come today. It's great that you have such a good hairstylist, and can follow her when she finishes school.
Knocking on wood, but yesterday my mom continued to be in better spirits and seems to be gaining strength. I know her thinking is not going to get any clearer, but I am very pleased. Tomorrow I am going out of town with DH. He is having some laminate installed in one of our rentals as well as some additional projects. I am taking advantage of the opportunity to spend time with DD and family. We'll be back on Saturday evening or possibly Sunday, but I'm expecting Saturday.
I am going to need to shop for a new bedspread/comforter set or something next. The bed has a footboard, and trying to decide if I should get a bed skirt or not. I think I would really rather not have one, but always have in the past. It's a queen size bed, and I'm even considering a king size comforter without a bedskirt. Any suggestions?
