Over 60 and Still Working/Saturday

Good morning friends,

Peg, I know you will enjoy your day in Sanibel. No matter the weather, it's a beautiful place.

Happy to say I finished my presentation and all the handouts exactly on time yesterday. I needed to leave the office at 3 for my hair appointment and I walked out of the building right at 3 with all my stuff for the trip. It reminded me of something I often read in the Daily Word - You have everything you need.

I have a load of wash in the dryer this morning and will start doing the bills in a few minutes. Kitty Irene has to go to the vet at 11:30 for her bloodwork and we're hoping the vet will let us reduce the frequency that she gets her meds. Right now it's twice a day, and we would surely love to be able to only give it once a day. She'll never be completely off the medicine, we know. But even after a year, she has not gotten used to it and puts up a fight every time.

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday -- we're going to have rain.

Hi all,

Maryenne, it was good to read that your presentations are ready. Hope you enjoy your trip. Have you ever been to San Diego? When do you fly home? I've been to LA and Anaheim but that about does it for me and CA. Will you be able to do any sightseeing?

We don't have any specific plans for this afternoon on Sanibel Island but there is a nature preserve that I would like to visit as well as walk on the beach. There is a fun restaurant on the island called the Island Cow that we may try to hit for breakfast tomorrow morning.

Congratulations on finishing the presentation Maryenne. Have a great time in San Diego. I have been a couple of times and enjoyed it tremendously.
Peg, happy shell seeking today! I have not been to Sanibel Island yet but my friends have said that I must.
It's sunny today and I have a pedicure appointment this afternoon. A great day so far!

Peg, have you ever eaten at the Bubble Room? It's a lot of fun. I'm assuming you are referring to Ding Darling State Park. It's really wonderful, too.

I fly out Monday at 6 a.m. and get back late Thursday night. Since I've been asked to be a speaker and wouldn't have attended the conference otherwise, I'm hoping to get to the zoo and maybe museums in Balboa Park, which appears to be close to my hotel. I also have some former university colleagues who are in Claremont - about two hours away - and I'd like to get together with them if we can work it out. I won't have a car.
