Join in if you are someone who loves, owns, has owned, leases, rides, or just likes to watch these magnificent animals! We love to share stories and talk about the critters that keep us on our toes and in the saddle while on this weight loss journey. If you don't see this thread, please feel free to start it. Good morning. Going out for my morning walk.
QOTD-have you ever seen the Lipizzaners perform?
The first time I ever saw them, I was maybe 14 or so. They were so magical then. That company had 1 of only 4 (at that time) chestnut Lipizzaners in the world. I then saw them twice here in Tuscaloosa. The last time I was somewhat disappointed as I was much older and wiser in horsemanship. I saw some sloppy riding and (LOL) some of the "Stallions" were geldings. The last company was based in FL so they were not the actual Riding School.

Good Morning! Welcome rain here this morning -as reached the barn to feed breakfast the horses were both standing in the shed with their heads sticking out -patiently waiting for breakfast! I have seen the Lipizzaners once and actually seeing them again in September -a touring company so like Beth's they are not the actual riding school but should be fun none the less - I was going to go with horsey friends but DH said he would go with me!

No rain scheduled here for the next 10 days! Amazing for the northwest. It's been in the 80's. I've never seen the lipizzaners - I'd love too! Off to go riding and camping in the mountains! Have a great weekend!

Morning all! libby - May I ask what state you're in? I'm in Oregon. I've seen the touring Lipizzaner's here a few times. They are beautiful and talented. I think all the touring shows in the States are only from the States. Geeze, did that even make sense? Meaning the horses from Austria are not transported here to do the traveling show. After college I traveled a bit, and took the opportunity to go and see the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. That was truly amazing, seeing the talent within some VERY old buildings. Very cool.
