Good morning everyone~
I've chosen to go into work a little late today, because I had a late night. It was a good one though - I went to the annual Rainbow Concert at the university. It's put on every year by the Ethnomusicology program and is made up of ensembles representing music from around the world. They have a visiting musician each year and this year was an Israeli pianist who studied choro music in Brazil. So he played in a number of the ensembles which included Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Peruvian, American blues, and Irish. FSU has a very good music school and the concert is a big attraction every year.
Esther, I do hope you were able to make contact with your doctor. That much pain is just not good and I hope you can get some relief.
Peg, are you still on the road today? Be safe if you are and rest a bit if you've made it home.
Hugs all around!
Maryenne

Good morning all,
We are watching a little TV in Atlanta this morning before getting moving. It is 611 miles home today and I am not looking forward to rush hour traffic this morning.
Maryenne, we did stop at Ellis Brothers Pecans.....yummy samples and about $30 later we got back on the road. Thanks for the suggestion. We really enjoyed the stop. DH bought more than I did.
Esther, hope you were able to get a dr appt.
Janice, Lynn, and Joyce......waving to you..... We have to get moving....7:30 and a day behind the wheel is waiting.
Peg

Had to take my dad by ambulance to the hospital late yesterday evening, where he was admitted. He has pneumonia which they are treating aggressively, and both his heart and kidney numbers are far too high. They are monitoring those very closely as well as using nitro gel for his heart. I really don't know what to expect. My mom held up better last night than I expected, but when she gets stressed things sometimes are not pretty so I am dreading what may come today with her. Her Alzheimer's is at the point where she can no longer be reasoned with, so just hoping for the best. My plan is to bring her to the hospital this morning to see my dad, then have DH take her back to AL to rest. Then bring her back again this afternoon to visit with him again. She may have a different plan going through her mind, and I dread trying to deal with that. Maybe she will surprise me. While I know that anything might happen with my dad, this may be the end of the road or he may recover from this episode for awhile, I am more worried about how to manage my mom.
Storms in our area, and under a tornado watch so Peg be very careful as you travel. Maybe they will pass through before you get this far.

Good evening friends. Joyce, prayers for you and your family. Peg, safe travels. Esther, I hope you were able to get in touch with your doctor. Prayers for pain relief. Maryenne, the concert sounds wonderful! Hi Janice and anyone else I missed. It was a busy day today - gym, library, laundry and grocery shopping. Got a lot of activity pints/steps today. Have a great evening. Lynn
