Good morning all ~
Peg, hope all went well with DH's hernia repair yesterday.
Two nights of bad sleep finally caught up with me last night. I ate some leftover vegetables and went to bed and slept all night. Now I'm feeling a little groggy, but it was good to not wake up multiple times. I have a very light day today and lunch with a former boss who retired a few years ago.
Hope you have a light day too!
Maryenne

Hi all and Happy TGIF Day,
DH came through the hernia surgery with flying colors. The surgery started about 8:45 and we were back home about 1:00. They used a block to help with pain so he came home with that and I will need to take that out for him...probably tomorrow morning. Very interesting....it is like two needles, one on each side plus a pressurized pump . I will need to read the literature for removing it.
We have received two painting quotes and decided to call a third company and they will come this morning. It would be wonderful if we could have their quote yet today. We would love to have the paint freshened before placing this house on the market without spending an arm and a leg.
The paint quote guy won't be here very long and then I will have lunch with our usual group. It is always a good time, then a stop at the grocery store and I will drive out past our new house. They shouldn't be doing anything as the slab is curing. The framing should start Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
DD's family is coming home for their spring break week....one week from today. I have a ton to get done before then.
I think of you all often, waving to everyone!
Peg

Good morning! Maryenne, glad you finally got a good night's rest. Restless nights can really be hard on you both mentally and physically. Peg, so good that DH came through the hernia surgery well. That is interesting about the block. I'm not familiar with those at all. So exciting that they will soon start framing your house! Esther, Lynne, Janice hope all is well with each of you. Esther, how's your hip? The spinal injections really helped mine, but it did take two of them to get relief. Nothing exciting here. We had storms, but not serious last night. Today it is much colder, and it's very windy. This morning DH will help me take my dad to see his regular doctor. Wish the wind would slack up before then, but guess I can't control the weather. DH will pull up as close to the door as he can for us to load and unload my dad. This is his regular 3 month appointment, and it came at just the right time after his release from the hospital. Yesterday I did get some errands run, but didn't make it to the grocery store. So if it doesn't rain I'll try to do that this afternoon. If it rains, I'll try to postpone for still another day but our cupboard is getting pretty bare so can't postpone much longer. Wishing each of you a lovely day, and hope each of you will find something to make you smile.

Hello friends. Peg, glad your DH came through the surgery in good shape. Hope he has a smooth recovery. Maryenne, it's good to have a good night's sleep after a few restless nights. Joyce, good luck to your dad on his appointment today. We have had a couple of inches of snow here. Not too bad, Not enough to get the snowblower going. We have a Jeep, so a couple of inches doesn't usually require the four wheel drive but it is there if we need it. I got the rest of the curtains hung in the bedroom and small sitting room yesterday. Today I need to get a kitchen curtain. The one I ordered was too big, but will be perfect for my home office in Rhode Island. Have a great day. Lynn
