Good morning everyone that will stop by today!
I was both productive and lazy yesterday. The morning was productive as I made a blueberry sauce for an angel food cake, cleaned the kitchen, and met with the third company rep for a paint quote. Lunch was fun as usual, drove by our new house, and got some groceries. After I got home I just sat and sat some more. We had left overs for dinner then I drove DH out past our new house.......they had framed most of the outside walls, really exciting!! DH's pain block pump emptied last night so I had to remove the leads for that......I totally know why I didn't become a nurse, but I got it done.
Our temps have dropped a bunch, like most of the central US, but at least the sun is shinning bright. I really need to finish cleaning out my craft room and boxing some things. Hopefully I will get motivated later this morning.
No real plans for the weekend. Hope everyone has some fun with ver the next couple of days!
Peg

Good morning all!
Peg, it must have been exciting to see the framing going up on your new house. Hope DH is not having any pain now that the block pump is empty. Like you, I would not have made a good nurse, but like you as well I do what has to be done.
Thursday it was beautiful, sunny, and 75*. This morning it is snowing like the dickens! There's probably at least an inch and a half out on my deck. Fortunately, thus far it is on everything except the roads. Temperatures are around 33 right now, and hoping it will warm enough to keep it off the streets. If the weather cooperates, I have a lot to do today to get ready for DD and family tomorrow, my mom's birthday celebration, etc.
Waving to everyone who stops by today!

Good morning all. We had a couple of inches of snow yesterday. The real weather concern is the high wind and low temperatures. It is 11 degrees right now. Brrrr! Your house is really coming along quickly Peg. How exciting to see the progress! Joyce, I hope the snow is as you hoped, with it staying off the roads. I am sick of winter. It's not so much the snow as it is the ice and cold temperatures. Waving to everyone today. Have a great day. Lynn

Good morning Peg, Joyce, and all, I slept late and then as Peg said, just sat and sat with my coffee. No real plans today at all, so perhaps I'll just sit more and read the book I bought this week. It's called Exit West by a Pakistani author, Mohsin Hasid, who Terry Gross interviewed this week on Fresh Air. I also brought some work home as well, which I rarely do, but I have a presentation I need to finish by Tuesday and I won't have the interruptions here. It's bright and sunny and just slightly cool, the woodbees are here and I saw a giant woodpecker out on one of the feeders. Spring also means pollen and so staying indoors is a good antidote for that. We can hose off the cars and in 15 minutes, they are covered with the yellow dust of pollen. Tomorrow we're going to see "I am not your _____", (apparently the site won't allow me to use the word), a film based on an unfinished work by James Baldwin about race in America. It's playing in a tiny little theater that used to be a railroad depot. I just found this article about the film, if you are interested: www.nytimes.com/2017/02/02/movies/review-i-am-not-your- -review-james-baldwin.html?_r=0 Hope you all have a lovely Saturday!
