Good morning everyone,
Hope you all are warm and prepared for the snowstorm. I see that NYC and Boston schools are closed today, and federal offices in DC will open later today. Our temps are dropping every day and we're supposed to be below freezing tomorrow morning and Thursday. Our lovely blooming dogwoods will lose all their flowers as will the cherry trees in DC.
I'm teaching a ninety minute class to my work group this morning and that's it for my day.
Hope you are all safe!

Hi all,
Well we ended up with only about 2" of snow and it was even trying to melt some by dinner time. They are predicting snow squalls this afternoon, north wind coming off Lake Michigan. We are off to Indianapolis today for my 3 month oncologist check and then we have an appt at a closet design company who will do our master closet. We don't want to break the bank on it but would like some drawers and a shelf unit as well as some double racks for shirts then a full length area.
Yesterday I did get most of our closet cleaned out. I got hung up going through a box with "Mommy saved" box. It brought laughs as well as some tears. I have the hospital receipt from when I was born. Too fun.....I was born naturally but we still stayed in the hospital 5 days. The cost for my stay each day was $1 while my mom's stay cost $7. The total bill was $42.25.....oh, back in the day!! I have several art projects that both kids did, some identical assignments with their own take on it, and of course three years apart. A couple of Mother's Day school assignments that brought the tears. I even have an unopened letter to Santa that DD printed at some point. I want to give it to her at some point to open and read herself.
That does it for me today. Hope everyone stays warm and safe! Waving to everyone,
Peg

Good morning friends. We are back in RI. Just in time for the snow storm! It's been snowing since early morning. Schools and businesses are closed. Oldest DGS spent the night and will help with shoveling. Maryenne, the poor tree buds! Peg, the closet sounds great! Today I am finishing up some knitting, getting my packing list together and staying warm and dry! Have a great day! Stay warm! Lynn

Good morning all,
We are in the midst of a real blizzard, just when the spring flowers decided to bloom. It will be interesting to see what is left after the snow melts. We are expected to get about a foot of snow. My next door neighbor offered to let me park in her driveway so my car would be off the road. Very nice of her. I should be able to drive right out with a minimum of shoveling tomorrow. We had a lull in the storm early this morning so I was able to walk the dog for a few minutes.
Lynn - How much is your trip delayed?
Maryenne - too sad about the flowering trees. They are my favorite sight in the springtime.
Peg - I hope everything goes well at your appointment.
Stay warm and dry everyone.
