Over 60 & Still Working/Saturday

Happy Weekend dear friends,

Hurray!!  It is Saturday and DD's family will be arriving for the week later this evening.  I am anxious to see them all, including the two pups.  I have to get to the grocery store and stock up on milk.  The boys drink it like water.

We did get our kitchen cabinets picked out yesterday, a darkish maple finish, with a lots lighter and brighter granite counter top.  We will be going to their supply lot probably in a couple of weeks to pick out the slab for them to use.  Now we need to go back to the flooring place, one day this week, to actually make our floor selections.  What we selected the other day won't work very well at all.

As for the rest of the day I will continue doing small cleaning jobs.  Our windows really need to be washed but the weather needs to be warmer.  Our temps are heading up but very slowly.

Good morning all,

I slept in and have paid bills. Now I need to get dressed and get Irene wrestled into her carrier for her visit to the vet for bloodwork. Her last results a month ago were so good that the vet cut her dosage back to once a day. So today is to see if that smaller dose still kept her blood calcium levels up. Once a day is MUCH better than twice, because she fights it so much.

After that, no plans. It's beautiful outside so I might pick up pine cones in the yard or sit on the porch and crochet.

Good morning!

It's beautiful here as well. The sun is shining brightly and weather climbing back up into the 60s. Today we are going to a birthday party for our youngest grandson. It's only about a half hour away, and looking forward to that.

Maryenne, hope Irene's tests will show she is still improving.

Peg, your kitchen and I'm sure your whole new house is going to be lovely. Enjoy the visit from DD and family.

Lynne, hope your travel to FL is going well and that you are having a great time.

Good morning from Interstate 95 in Virginia. Our goal was to get south of D.C. Last night. We did. We stayed in Woodbridge, VA. Our destination today is Jacksonville. We jave left the snow and cold behind us. We stopped in a little town in MD that I lived in when I was four. Walked around for a while. Amazing how I remembered a few things that haven't changed! The river, town hall, welcome sign.

Well, Irene's visit to the vet was a bust. They had forgotten to tell me that it was supposed to be a fasting test, so I'll have to take her back on Monday and leave her for the day. I'm trying not to be aggravated - it's a 20-mile drive and Irene loudly cries the whole way. But we're home now and DH is cooking breakfast.
