Good morning everyone!
I'm beginning to think about sandals, too, Janice. I tend to wear flip-floppy crocs on the weekends, and only wear sandals to work if I have a recent pedicure. Before my trip to San Diego, I discovered Sketchers aircooled memory foam shoes, which are not sandals of course, but are the most comfortable shoes ever. I bought two pairs - one multicolored one with flowers and one black pair which I wear frequently to work. Lynn, my bras are so old and I really need new ones, but I just hate shopping for them. Maybe this will be the year of new bras for me also.
My colonoscopy went very well yesterday. Not sure if I told you I had it done at the hospital so that they could put me completely out. That light sedative does not work for me - when I had it for my cataract surgery and my stents, I was awake the whole time. This was really nice - they got me set up on the table and I remember the nurse asking me if I was from around here, and the next thing I remember was waking up in the recovery room. No polyps or issues of any kind, so I can do it again in 10 years. So glad it's over!
We have not one single plan for the weekend! DH is going to work outdoors on his tractor and I'll stay in today - Doc said don't drive today, which is fine for me. I've run the dishwasher and need to do some laundry and fold towels that DH washed the other day.
Happy Saturday!

God morning .....Maryenne and I were creating the thread at the same time.....sorry.....so here is my post....
Good morning everyone,
We are back to being empty nesters, DD and family are leaving sometime is morning. They have been sleeping at their new home most of the week so we won't be seeing them off this AM. The two youngest DGSs stayed with us Thursday night which was a lot of fun. Yesterday we picked out our flooring and tile for the house....it took us two hours and we were both booked when we were finished. I know we went over the allowance but we will have to wait to get the quote to see exactly how much. I am starting to think we may have to cut back on our main wood flooring choice.....time will tell. We spent the late afternoon hours working in the yard cleaning out the flower beds around our deck. It looks soooooo much better. We still need another day cleaning out along the back fence. The shingles for our new house got delivered yesterday along with the windows. We don't know if they will work on it at all today or not. It looks like next week is going to be a little soggy.
I don't have any plans for the weekend, hope everyone has some fun!
Wavng to everyone, Peg

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, glad your colonoscopy went well! Those are never any fun, and it's always good to know there are no issues. Now you are free for 10 more years!
Peg, your house is coming along so quickly it seems! When is the projected completion date?
Lynn, Esther, and Janice hope all is going well with each of you. Lynn, you recently asked about my SIL. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of his being told he is cancer free. Yay!!! Hoping and praying it stays that way.
Well DH and I ended up not going to TX after all--long story, but all worked out. Since the TX trip had to be cancelled, we decided we still wanted to get away for a bit so drove up into KY and just had a wonderfully relaxing two days and one night. Got back home late yesterday. We didn't do anything extra special, but just meandered through some small towns browsing in antique/junk shops, had a wonderful lunch at a restaurant known for their pork chops, went to Abe Lincoln's birthplace, saw some beautiful murals, etc. It was just a fun time, and we both felt refreshed by it.
Have a lovely day everyone!

Good morning friends. Maryenne, glad to hear things went well yesterday. Enjoy a quiet day, they probably don't come along too often. Peg, when will the new house be ready? You have a few busy months coming up! Joyce, I am glad you were able to get away for a few days. It sounds like you had a relaxing time. I am happy to hear the news about your son in law. The warm weather continues here. DH loves being outside in the heat and humidity. He is finishing up the yard work today. It's supposed to rain later, I hope he finishes before the rain. DSiL and her husband appreciate the work. Her husband has some health issues that prevent him from doing much outside. I don't know what is on the agenda today. Hope everyone has a great day. Lynn

The house is scheduled to be completed by July 1. The final walk through is scheduled for June 15.
I've been working outside for the last hour raking and bagging leaves from up around the house. I am almost done with that so when I go back out in a few minutes I am going to pull weeds. So far the rain is holding off so I can get the outside stuff under control. It is looking better all the time.....let's hear it for some physical labor. I just put my Fitbit on before I started working an hour ago.....approx. 1500 steps so far.
