Good morning dear friends,
Maryenne, I like your new avatar, it made me chuckle. It also encouraged me to,change mine. DH took the picture last night. Friday night the shingles were stacked up on the roof and the windows were in the garage so they must have worked all day yesterday. At least now the inside will stay pretty dry while it rains over the next couple of days.
Besides Lynn, are there any of us that are following WW?? I have put on 5 lbs over the last several weeks and really want to take it off before it gets out of control. With that said I did make some blueberry oatmeal cookies yesterday afternoon that are wonderful....too much butter and brown sugar to be very 22 friendly but they did make an awesome breakfast this morning. I will go to the grocery store his afternoon and look for some weight friendly foods. Some fresh spinach sounds really good.
Wishing everyone a great restful but productive Sunday.
Peg

Good Morning
So glad you posted a picture of the house, Peg. Looks great! It is fun to hear what you are selecting for it. Right now I have trouble imagining getting a house ready for sale - although I have done it many times!
We had rain yesterday and it is cold and cloudy this morning. We needed the rain very badly and things really greened up.
I am about to go to Walmart for groceries. Need to get some things for my lunches and also the dog and two cats need some treats.
May go to a bluegrass jam this afternoon. I have never gone to this monthly jam but they have been putting on Facebook that players and listeners are welcome. I am a listener only!
Have a nice day!
Janice

Good morning Peg and Janice and all to follow,
Peg, your house is going to be beautiful! It is fun to hear you describe the process. I want to paint my kitchen cabinets and attach new hardware, and I'm having the hardest time finding the hardware I like. So I can't imagine doing a whole house. I made the avatar yesterday but the mouth isn't right. There isn't one that I like.
Janice, we love listening to bluegrass also. We went to an indoor bluegrass show a few months ago at a tiny little venue and it was a lot of fun.
I was pretty lazy yesterday - did a little this and a little that. I found a yoga session I like on YouTube so I did that in the afternoon. Lucille was very curious about what I was doing. Not sure what I'll do today. My intention is to clean the kitchen floor. (Many years ago, a counselor told me to stop saying "should", and instead say "my intention is").
Anyway, hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Good morning everyone!
Peg, I agree that your house is going to be lovely, and I too enjoy hearing all about the process. Can't wait to see a picture of the finished product.
Janice, the bluegrass jam sounds like a lot of fun, and something I would definitely enjoy. Like you, I am a listener only.
Maryenne, love the new avatar! There are so many different selections out there today for cabinet hardware that it would be difficult to choose. I put new ones on our cabinets a couple of years ago, and I like the look of them but made a mistake in what I chose for the drawers as I am always hanging my pocket on them.
Lynn and Esther hope you are both having a good Sunday.
Yesterday was a wonderful day for me. My mom seemed like her old self--she was my mom again! I had pretty much given up hope of ever seeing that again, and it felt wonderful. I actually enjoyed my visit with them. We talked and laughed about a lot of different things. There were no complaints about anything. As I was ready to leave she told me that she really appreciated everything DH and I have done for them, and that she thinks this move to AL was the best choice for all of us. It is a good fit for them, and it allows DH and I to have some freedom to go and do things together, and she is happy about that. I know I might not find the same thing again when I go today, but yesterday was a true gift, and I am grateful.

Good morning everyone
We had an enjoyable book group meeting at my DS house yesterday. It is so enjoyable to be with my children and their friends. The topic was Irish authors. I read Iris Murdoch 's The Sea,The Sea. It is written by a woman but has a male narrator. I got to enjoy it more as I went along.
Joyce It's wonderful that you had such a good day day with your mother.
Peg Is your new house right near your current house?
I am going to a new klezmer jam for quiet instruments this afternoon. I think they are leaving out something important. We'll see how it goes.
Have a good Sunday!

Good morning friends! My brother in law's niece is visiting today. She is a sweetheart. We met her years ago when we were visiting. Peg, thank you for posting the picture of the new house. It looks lovely. Maryenne, sounds like you had a relaxing day yesterday. How did the joint presentation with the engineers go? Did they stick to their timetable? Joyce, how wonderful that you had such a great visit with your parents. They sound like great people. You have all been through a lot lately. Hugs to all of you. Janice, enjoy the blur grass concert. Wish I was there! Esther, I love hearing about all your musical events! We cleaned out the car today. I found over a dozen pens and an ID badge holder as well as some stuff from our last leg of the trip down. We washed windows, cleaned upholstery and reorganized stuff for the trip back. Tomorrow we will plan the trip back. We are going up the east coast of Florida with stops in Fort Lauderdale and Amelia Island. Have a great Sunday! Lynn
