Over 60 & Still Working/Sunday

Good morning dear ladies,

Yesterday I did go shopping and bought rugs for the kitchen, and towels and a shower curtain rod for the guest bath.  I may need a couple more staging items but basically we're done buying stuff.  

The paint colors we used are in the gray family.....First Star (top), basic white for the chair rail, and Silverplate on bottom.  The First Star is the one I really like.  It has a light reflective value of 69 which we would really in the new house.  Our current dining room and living room have the chair rail while our foyer and family room are plan walls so the First Star works really well.

Our weather is beautiful again today before we have two rainy days.  So with that said we will be working outside.  I want to get the first floor windows washed on the outside.  DH will be working on the yard and he bought some pansies yesterday to plant in the front of the house and he will spread some mulch too.  Carpet cleaners are coming in the morning.

Good morning,

I was sickly all day yesterday, so spent most of the afternoon dozing or watching movies on the couch. Feeling some better today. One of the movies I watched was "The Verdict" with Paul Newman. It was very good. Today I've got to pull myself together and do my laundry.

Peg, I googled First Star - what a pretty color and it looks so nice with white. I might get a sample and see how it would work on my kitchen cabinets.

Good morning all.
The sun is out today! Our porch gets the morning sun, I can't wait until it is finished. I will enjoy sitting in the morning sun to start the day!

We are heading back to RI later. It will be nice to be back home after a couple of weeks on the road.

Peg, I also love the gray colors with white. DD has used that in her house, and it looks lovely. It's very popular now too, and so is a good choice for staging.

Lynn, have a safe trip back to RI. It always feels good to get home after being gone for a long trip.

DH and I decided to come home last night rather than wait for today, as he will have to go back again on Tuesday. Turns out the bathroom project on the new rental is going to be a bigger project than we had first anticipated, but it's still a great rental property so pleased about the purchase.

Met up with DH when I got there on Friday afternoon, and we ran some errands and then had a lovely dinner together. Yesterday spent the whole day with DD, DSIL, DGS, and DGD celebrating DGS's birthday. It was a lot of fun. DGS had back-to-back baseball games yesterday morning, so this grandma yelled, clapped, and cheered him on through them both loving every minute of it. All in all it was a lovely time.
