Good morning!
We had big crashing storms last night. Lucille and Irene were very upset by the constant thunder and rain, although the bigger storms were more to the north of us. We stayed up late watching episodes of Foyle's War on Netflix - highly recommend. I've seen them all, but DH hadn't, so I'm happy to watch them again.
Peg, I hope you got a better night's sleep last night. With all the work you've been doing, you deserve that Italian dinner!
I've got nothing on my plate today, but yesterday, I made big headway in tidying stacks of paper on my desk in between meetings. I'll continue that today and also get back to working on a presentation that I didn't work on yesterday. Leaving early for a hair cut and root connection.
Hope you all have a sunny day!

Good morning all
I am meeting with our landscaper this morning. It is a good opportunity to get some housework done. My two fellow condo owners are not willing to take the time to meet with him. I wish they would take more interest in the house.
Tonight is our contra dance band rehearsal for the New England Folk Festival. This is the high point of our year. Most of the music is from Quebec.
Have a good Tuesday everyone.

Hi all,
The carpet is clean and finally dry, I think. We just had Stanley Steamer but it seemed like they left everything really wet. Oh well, it is done and ready for me to actually stage most of the rooms. Yesterday while the carpet was getting done I cleaned the grout in the laundry room then I cleaned a couple of drawers and the cabinet with my cookbooks, several are going to Goodwill today. We picked out our lighting in the afternoon too. We found some craftsman style coach lights for the front of the house and then one that matches them in the foyer. We chose really neat brushed bronze ceiling fans for the great room and master bedroom, I just hope they will actually look good. The gal is pricing a couple different options for almost everything so we can keep within e budget. She is supposed to get the quote to us sometime tomorrow.
Today I will work on getting things back into place, washing some windows, and cleaning the kitchen. My usual house keepers are coming tomorrow and I plan on having them do some things they don't usually do. This afternoon we are meeting with the cabinet/countertop guy to sign off on that so those can all get ordered. The front and back doors are to be delivered on Friday. Hopefully that will allow them to start drywalling.
Sorry if I have rambled and kind of jumped around. I think that reflects the state of my mind. I did sleep better last night but still laid awake for about an hour trying to settle my brain. We have 2 1/2 days to get the house ready as planned. DH will spread more mulch today before the rain hits tonight into tomorrow.
Maryenne, hopefully clearing some papers on your desk will allow you to focus on your next presentation.
Hope everyone has a bright sunny day. I don't think we will see the sun around IN until Friday. Waving a big hello to everyone!
Peg

Good morning everyone! We do have sunshine here this morning after rain yesterday. It's always good to see the sunshine.
Taking my mom for an eye injection this afternoon. I dread that as it is always very hard on her emotionally, and therefore, difficult for me too. She was already getting anxious last night. It would be better if I felt confident that the injections are doing any good, but I am not and really no way to know I suppose. She virtually has no vision now, but does see shadows. Shadows are better than nothing. Tomorrow we take my dad to his lung specialist, so this is a medical week for us.
Have a lovely day!

Good afternoon all. I had a terrible night's sleep, up with a charley horse that would not stop and terrible stomach pains. I am better today but my calf is still sore. Weigh in was good, stayed the same after three weeks away. I got all the banking done today, met my best teacher buddy for coffee and made several appointments for DH and I. Peg, you have done so much to get ready for the move! Enjoy your dinner Thursday night, you have earned it! Maryenne, hopefully the rain will help any drought you are having. We drove through a lot of smoke in southern Florida while we were there. Joyce, I hope things go well for your mother today. Esther, I hope the other condo owners appreciate your willingness to work for the common good. Hello Janice! How are things in your neck of the woods? Off to take a nap. Have a great day. Lynn
