Good morning,
I ended up at the doctor yesterday - got antibiotics and then went home to rest. Hope they will kick in soon. I can't take off today so I'll have to soldier through.
We had a lot of rain last night but no real storms as they had predicted. Today and tomorrow will be somewhat cooler.
Hope you all have a great day!

Hi all,
We are finally down to the last few hours before our real estate agent comes to take photos and officially put the sign in the yard. DH got the new curved shower rod up in the guest bath yesterday so I have to get that room set up. Oh, I found, by accident, a bathroom cleaner that cleans grout really well...Scrub Free Total Bathroom Cleaner with Oxi Clean. I grabbed it instead of the bottle of actual grout cleaner. I sprayed it on, let it sit for 5 minutes, I scrubbed with a narrow brush briefly and wiped up. It does an awesome job. So I am doing sections of grout at a time and the 5 minutes allows you to pace yourself. I have two more sections to do this morning. After that is done I will need to stage the kitchen......otherwise everything else is done!!! Hurray!!! We are both exhausted. Our celebratory dinner is tonight. I will continue to keep you posted through the rest of our process. For the new house we will go pick out the exterior stone tomorrow and the exterior doors should be delivered today and hopefully installed tomorrow.
That is it for this Thursday......
Maryenne, hope you feel better soon.
Esther, glad you've been able to take your dog for walks.
Lynn, when will you head north again?
Joyce, have you and DH adjusted to being empty nesters? I know you visit your parents virtually everyday but hopefully you are enjoying the lighter load/responsibility. How many rental properties do you have now?
Janice, hope all is well with you, missing your posts.
More rain in IN today,
Peg

Good morning everyone! Maryenne, so sorry you're not feeling well. Hope the antibiotics will work quickly for you. Peg, it's exciting to stay abreast of your moving plans. I am so happy for you and your DH! Lynn, Esther, and Janice hope things are going well for all of you, and wishing you a good day. The past two days have been very busy here. On Tuesday took my mom for her eye injection. That was a super hard day. It's always very hard mentally and emotionally on my mom, and that makes it very hard on everyone who loves her. By the time I got back home, I was completely exhausted. Then yesterday I took my dad to his lung doctor. Other than the fact that DH has to help me get him in and out of the car and into his wheelchair, that's not a hard task just a long one because it takes most of the day with x-rays, etc. He did get a good report, so I was pleased. Today I will get a little pampering as I have an appointment for a haircut. Have to run a few errands, check on my mom and dad, and then plan to spend any extra time just resting. Have a lovely day!

Good morning friends. Last night we went to a talk by our favorite sports writer. He spent a basketball season with the basketball team at the state's poorest inner city school a few years ago. He wrote a book about the experiences. It was a wonderful book, what a great story. As a retired educator I was inspired by the coaches and appalled by the "system " that surrounds the students every day. As usual, the take away from this is that we all have more in common than we have that is different. Enjoy your dinner tonight Peg, you have earned it. Maryenne, feel better. Hopefully the meds will kick in soon. Joyce, it sounds like your parents have settled into a new routine at assisted living. It is so hard to see our parents become more frail, hugs to you and your family! Esther, did you ever find an alternate summer activity to the one that was cancelled? I think it was a music camp. Janice, how are things in your neck of the woods? This weekend we are going to a benefit dinner for the Provincetown Film festival and art museum. Our oldest daughter was supposed to come but her son is sick, so they are going to pass. They are looking for someone to take their place. Today I will pack for that trip. It's just for the weekend. Then we will be in RI for ten days until we head to New Hampshire for a few days with our friends. Have a great day! Lynn
