What’s on your mind — how to make kugel? This week’s Torah reading? Life goals? Prayer? We are all engaged in weight loss/weight maintenance journeys and we are all Jewish or at least interested in Judaism. We like to eat, we like to discuss. It is our goal here to provide each other support on our journeys, to share experiences, to call on our rich cultural heritage and texts, and to help each other grow spiritually.
Some of us take weekly turns starting the thread:

And for those of you who stop by to read this thread without posting — you are certainly welcome to, but you are also welcome to chime in

Good morning all... If you had to choose one prayer from the hagaddah, or a part of the Seder, which you find the most meaningful or spiritual, what would it be? For me there are so many. I guess my choice would be the very end. Hagaddot differ on the exact wording, but ours goes something like this: "For us and all of Israel, for us and all humankind: next year in Jerusalem! next year all the world redeemed!
I just love the hopefulness and timelessness of this simple statement.
what is your favorite part?

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all well. It is pouring rain here, and it's supposed to thunderstorm for hours. When I drive DS to work later, I will be very careful!
I can't think of anything specific to say about today's topic, but will be back later to read everyone's comments. Have a peaceful day, Lee

Da-yei-nu. Probably because of the upbeat melody. Possibly because I remember singing it as a child, having no idea at all what the words meant.

Boker Tov All! Like Holly, I remember singing Da-yei-nu as a child - and for me, ANYTHING with a catchy melody is meaningful & stays with me! The melodies & the words mingle in my spirit. Sometimes I sort of take the prayer apart to follow the thoughts to their natural conclusions (and no, it probably would NOT have been enough!) but the thankfulness for Divine Intervention comes through in the entire prayer! Lee - I am so happy that nothing worse happened! Yesterday went well - suddenly we got a call about an estate sale/vendors only today "happening right now" - and the owner of the mall & the one vendor working yesterday took off in a cloud of dust & a hail of gravel, leaving me there all alone for 2 hours Nice to know that I can do that! It was like Christmas morning when they got back - new-to-us stuff all over the place, we were trying on hats & laughing at various stuff & moving things around. Never a dull moment! Have a good day ladies! Today I'm resting from what turned into a bigger day than I had thought yesterday.

Sorry - drawing a blank on the text - it's the songs that come to mind. I also love to sing Dayeinu and it is good to remember that often what we have is more than enough. Love singing Eliyahu HaNavi and Adir Hu. And there's always someone at the table that can get through all of Hadgadya to everyone's delight.
I'm pretty far behind as far as kashering at home. I gave myself the night off last night knowig full well that just adds to what I need to get done tonight. So tonight I need to kasher the stove (or at least the oven)and bring the boxes up. That would make me feel like I'm in the swing of it.
Trying not to think about whether I'm going to get a callback tomorrow. It is what it is - just throwing my hat in the ring was a big step!

I really love the Grace After Meals, though it's only slightly different from the regular version. But everyone's full of food and wine, we have a rollicking great time singing it with gusto, and the feeling of deep gratitude for the company and participation of friends and family washes over me. DD28 always leads it, which adds another layer of joy.

Holly, here's Chad Gadya in transliteration, if it helps. I did this for the haggadah I wrote last year, and everyone was able to join:
Chad Gadya (One Kid)
Chad gadya, chad gadya. Dezabin aba bitre zuze, chad gadya, chad gadya.
Ve-ata chalba venashach leshunra, de-achla legadya, dezabin aba bitre zuze, chad gadya, chad gadya.
Ve-ata chutra vehika lechalba, denashach leshunra, de-achla legadya, dezabin aba bitre zuze, chad gadya, chad gadya.
Ve-ata nura vesaraf lechutra, dehika lechalba, denashach leshunra, de-achla legadya, dezabin aba bitre zuze, chad gadya, chad gadya.
Ve-ata maya vechava lenura, desaraf lechutra, dehika lechalba, denashach leshunra, de-achla legadya, dezabin aba bitre zuze, chad gadya, chad gadya.
Ve-ata tora veshata lemaya, dechava lenura, desaraf lechutra, dehika lechalba, denashach leshunra, de-achla legadya, dezabin aba bitre zuze, chad gadya, chad gadya.
