What’s on your mind — how to make kugel? This week’s Torah reading? Life goals? Prayer? We are all engaged in weight loss/weight maintenance journeys and we are all Jewish or at least interested in Judaism. We like to eat, we like to discuss. It is our goal here to provide each other support on our journeys, to share experiences, to call on our rich cultural heritage and texts, and to help each other grow spiritually.
Some of us take weekly turns starting the thread:

And for those of you who stop by to read this thread without posting — you are certainly welcome to, but you are also welcome to chime in

Good Shabbos, everyone!
Thanks to all of you for contributing this week; it really helped me get mentally ready for Passover. I have a LOT still to do before my 23 guests descend on Monday evening. Somehow, it will all get done. I know that some of you are just as busy with all of this prep work...
Since Dayenu seems to be the consensus favorite, i will be thinking of you guys when it comes around at the seder. I might add a new paragraph:
Had we been led to the WW boards and not found our original thread...Dayenu Had we found our original thread but not morphed into Jewish Musings...Dayenu Had we morphed into Jewish Musings and not become a supportive community of friends...Dayenu
well...you get the idea!

Had we become a supportive community of friends and not shared our joys and frustrations...Dayenu! Had we shared our joys and frustrations and not given each other comfort and wisdom...Dayenu!

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all well. Today the sun is shining, and after yesterday's heavy rain and tornado warnings (!), I am happy to have a sunny day.
Re today's topic: Very nice! I can't think of what I would like to add though. If I manage to put anything into words, I will post them later.
BTW, I was thinking of making a quick stop today at the service station that fixed my car to say thanks again and that the car was now running well. Do you think that is a good idea or unnecessary? I feel a little shy about it, but they really did do something important for me, and the manager was very helpful. What do you think?
I'll check in later. Have a peaceful day, Lee

Boker Tov All! I defrosted the big freezer (it was almost empty) overnight - today, reload it, mom has an eye appt AND an appt at the bank - so I will be out much of the day.
I have enjoyed out "Pesach-talks" this week - it has helped get the work done!
Shabbat Shalom everyone!

Had we offered each other comfort and support, and not been open to embrace newcomers to the thread, Dayenu. Had we embraced newcomers to the thread and not clung to our common WLJ goals seeking good health, Dayenu. Had we clung to common WLJ goals, seeking good health, and forgotten that life is more than the scale, Dayenu.

What a nice thread Lynne. I really enjoyed the week. I'm sorry to get here so late and without another verse yet. Didn't hear anything back about the interview. Shabbat shalom.
