Good morning dear friends,
Today is going to be a busy day. We have a 10:00 appt to double check our flooring choices and a 10:45 showing of our house, the first one. So when we leave around 9:30 everything will need to be in place for the showing. I am meeting a BFF for lunch after the flooring check. We are meeting at the mall so maybe I will do a little shopping too. I haven't been to Christopher and Banks since winter.
We also have a house showing late Sunday afternoon. DH has a couple of things he needs to do outside before any showings at all. They won't take him more than 10 minutes.
Wishing everyone a bright awesome weekend!
Peg

Good morning!
Peg, you are forging ahead full force now. Have you made any contingency plans in case your house sells before the new one is ready?
Just a "normal" Saturday here. DH stayed over out of town last night, but the handyman will finish probably by 2:00 today, and he'll be back home this evening. I never rest as well at night when he is not here.
Wishing everyone a lovely day and waving to all who come by later.

Good morning Peg and Joyce and everyone,
Peg, I'm sure your hard work is going to pay off. I've never been in the position to stage a house for sale - I imagine it must be very nerve-wracking. Actually, I take that back - sort of. Many years ago, I had a small frame house built in 1946 that I raised my children in, 2 br, 1 bathroom. After getting a divorce from my first husband, I refinanced it and began making some badly needed repairs and upgrades - had the hardwood floors refinished, I painted the inside and hired someone to paint the outside, and took up ancient linoleum from the bathroom and kitchen floors and had ceramic tile installed. It was so beautiful. Then it became necessary for me to spend more and more time in Tallahassee as my sister was alone up here caring for our mother who was increasingly ill from dementia. With part of the proceeds of the refi, I bought this 5 acres thinking that "someday" I might build a house or re-sell it. Well, someday came sooner than I expected and I needed to move. I was able to sell the Miami house very quickly to someone who had expressed interest in it. So, to end a long story, it was pre-prepped and I was able to sell it without ever putting it on the market. This was in 1990. I loved that little house - when DH was in Miami for his 50th reunion last month, he went buy and met the current owners and took pictures. It looks completely different now. Wow, sorry for the longwinded story!
Joyce, I hope you have a good day of peace and solitude.
I have no plans today, but I'm thinking of going shopping but I might be lazy and stay in. I leave for Tampa tomorrow afternoon so I'll need to pack, etc.
Hope you all have a great day!
