Happy Easter!
Went to 8:00 am Mass and then came back to the house for brunch. My DD brought a new induction countertop burner home from Sam's club. It came with a special copper pan. We used it to make the omelets and it worked really well. I already made space for it in the cabinet. Put some family photos up on FB but because we had no extra company we couldn't all be in the same one. DD 2 is in Quebec Canada. She says it feels like she is in France.
I neglected to say that DD1 can do the jumps you see in the photos but that is not her. She is getting "old" in the dance world at 26 LOL and is now transitioning to teaching. She did make it to the top level of "open champion". She is actually meeting a dancer from another school later on today to try and sell her solo dress. That really will mean the end to big competition. She will wear a simple leotard and skirt for her tests for teaching as that is the norm. Her test will be in St. Louis I think in October. In other DD1 news she has been promoted to a new position in the school for autistic children that she teaches in. She will be training staff to use technology in the classroom and helping them to adapt it to meet the abilities of the individual students. It starts the end of May.
We are having a beautiful spring day and I am going to see if I can get someone to walk with me.

Hi, all...Happy Easter to those that celebrate! Faye, just saw that harp teacher will be "home" for the summer so get in-person lessons again..so excited! But it also means getting the harp down and up the stairs again...sure don't miss that. Beth, glad you made it through the family dinner with minimum drama Barb, sounds like the "new" vet is trying to make a name for themselves, getting all those tests. For older horses, yeah, not really needed. Kind of like us...some doctors want poop tests and some don't Hope you can find someone you like! Amy, how nice that DD1 got into the additional certification test. She was going to have to wait another year, right? Now she can try for cert this year. Good that she got a promotion! Libby, run...out...of...hay? WHAT? I'm kind of agreeing with your DH...might be better to have Rosie at home, at least you know she's getting cared for! Hope you get the jcieling done soon! Let's see...Friday was quiet, went for a walk. Yesterday went for a walk, and fixed the bed...quite proud of myself that I resolved the squeakiness! And today went for walk, after which I decided I will get the orthotics. My feet were unhappy, not just where I got the cortisone. M-Th this week I have training from 6am to 10am, so early mornings for me, not my favorite thing but hopefully will have more work after the training is complete. Cathy

Had a nice -but hot- ride today -we did the longer back loop which i hadn't been on since the snow -there are 3 spots where there are "water crossings" very small -all last fall there was no water in them -just rocks -today there was water -Penny walked right thru them -we did about 4 .25 miles (love my tracker) in a little over an hour -mostly walking -some trotting/cantering -she came back really wet -after I sponged her down & turned her out -she wasted no time in rolling in mud -so she is not a pretty girl right now! Plan on getting out again tomorrow & hopefully Tuesday before the rains hit again.
Libby -sorry about Rosie -yes, sounds like she needs to be home. Hope you can get that done & things back to normal -at least your bedrooms are warm -
Had a message on FB - my friend with the Lusitano stallion who does the high level dressage had to put him down to colic today - I feel her pain. She had been bringing him back along to finish her bronze medal dressage this summmer. So sad.
Amy - nice photo on FB of family -
Waving to Beth, Dutch, Faye & Cathy!
