Good morning! I'm working just this morning and then this afternoon heading out on a friends' trip up into Georgia. Suzanne was my boss long ago and is now retired and living down at the beach. She and I are driving up this afternoon to Americus which will be our base camp for the weekend. Our other friend Teresa who we used to work with lives in Atlanta and she is going to meet us tomorrow at Pasaquan Saturday we're going to drive up to Warm Springs, home of FDR's Little White House and the FDR State Park. Our Atlanta friend will leave us Saturday afternoon and we'll drive back to Americus. On Sunday, we'll go to Plains to Jimmy Carter's church to hear him teach Sunday school and then make our way back home Sunday afternoon. Suzanne also wants to go to Andersonville and Providence Canyon - we'll see if we have time. I'm really looking forward to this trip! Peg, have a great trip to Omaha! I'd like to go there someday. I have two friends who live there and I hear there is a great zoo. Esther, I'm sorry about your cyst. I know how worrisome it must be. And I'm sorry about your brother. Joyce, I hope your surgery went ok yesterday. Lynn, hope DH is better soon. Janice, hope you are having a good week. Great big hugs to you all!

Happy Thursday everyone,
Maryenne, your weekend sounds like a lot of fun. I know you will totally enjoy yourself. We will be anxious to hear about it.
Joyce, hope everything went well for you yesterday. Anxious to hear from you too.
Esther, I hope the visit with your brother went as well as could be expected. It has to be a very tough situation......hugs lady!
Lynn, I too have been wondering about your DH....hope he is back to normal.
Janice, just one more day until your usual Friday evening socializing.
Well we will head for Omaha this afternoon and will do our usual 4+ hour drive to the far west edge of IL then we will drive the rest Friday morning. Boy are we glad we had already made plans to be away as the inspection for this house sale is scheduled for Monday and the guy requested 5 hours. I thought that was ridiculous so I asked our agent about it. She said she didn't understand why he requested so much time and it shouldn't take him more than 2 hours.....oh well, it is what it is and we won't be around anyway. We had a handy man tell us a month or so ago that we shouldn't sweat the inspection because he will fine something....that is his job! Interesting thought....like a cop waiting for a speeder to go by......I could not be a cop either....LOL.
Looking forward to two baseball games and three soccer matches this weekend,
Peg

Good morning!
Maryenne, your girls' trip this weekend sounds like so much fun! Hope you will enjoy every minute of it.
Peg, wishing you safe travels and a fun time with DD and family. I'm sure your home inspection will go smoothly, but yes, they likely will find something as the handyman said. They always do, but it will probably be very minor little things.
Esther, thinking of you and your brother. His situation must be such a worry for you. Hoping all goes well with the cyst also.
Janice and Lynn, hope you both are looking forward to a lovely day.
I did get my surgery yesterday, so I'm glad to have that behind me now. All is well. My leg is a little sore this morning, but nothing to really complain about. I go back next Wednesday to have stitches removed.
Have a spectacular day everyone!

Good Evening all:
Peg, what I am observing when we have inspections - they usually find something - I really think what we are seeing is the result of watching HGTV, Design on a Dime and all that. They expect a lived in home to have everything like a new build. Hopefully you will do just fine with the inspection! And have a fun time in Omaha - I love going into the Old Market area - great farmer's market or there used to be anyway!
Joyce, hope your leg is feeling okay. Esther hope your brother is doing okay - what a difficult situation.
Maryenne - a girl's weekend sounds great! Would love to be with you in Pres Carter's class!
Yes, tomorrow is Friday. And the weekend will be busy with the usual necessities. Do plan on going to a Southern Gospel concert Saturday, Blackwood Quartet, and then Sunday afternoon is an all afternoon bluegrass jam. There will be four bands each playing one hour concerts and jam sessions in various rooms that you can wander in and out. One of the gals I work with can't believe that I will go to these by myself. I told her I only go to things I am comfortable going to by myself and I find the gospel and bluegrass goers are a friendly bunch but in many ways I enjoy being by myself - can sit where I want, leave when I want, etc. Oh doesn't that sound selfish!
Have a good evening and hope all have good travels, feel good, and enjoy the weekend.
Janice
