Good morning all!
I had a wonderful little trip with my friends with many wonderful memories. Thursday we discovered a tiny town called Buena Visa (pronounced Beeyoona). Two cafes, an antique store and a dime store, but the friendliest people we've ever met. This is the home of Pasaquan, the site I mentioned last week, which has been restored by a nearby university and is attracting a lot of interest. The next day we drove to Warm Springs and spent the day learning about FDR and the Little White House and the fight against polio. Yesterday we went to Plains for church with Jimmy Carter. I am very happy to report that he and Mrs. Carter are spry as ever and he gave a wonderful talk about Doubting Thomas.
Now back to the grind. I blocked my calendar today because they are moving me to a different office, although that could change because internal politics might get in the way. We'll see.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a fantastic week coming up!

Good morning friends. Maryenne, your weekend sounds fabulous! It's nice to have friends to share your interests with! I have laundry going, a couple of bills to pay, hummingbird feeders to clean and fill and meal planning to complete. We have a beautiful spring day ahead. I want to clean up my garden by the fence this afternoon. Have a great day! Lynn

Hi all,
Maryenne, I agree that your trip sounded fun. I am not sure my DH would be real keen about me taking off without him. I have an opportunity to ride back to Omaha with a BFF whose son, lives there, not too far from my DD. I've mentioned it to him but got a lukewarm reception. Any suggestions on how to approach the topic again?
We will be hitting the road for IN about an hour. It looks like we will have beautiful weather.
Waving to all,
Peg

Good morning everyone
I had a great weekend at the New England Folk Festival. Our contra dance band, Roaring Jelly, opened the festival Friday night. We had a great success. I went to a number of different jams and played a lot. I especially liked a French/Breton jam and may go to a workshop in Vermont over the Memorial Day weekend. I haven't made summer plans because my walking is insecure, but I think I will try this one.
My brother was released from the hospital on Friday. The homeless outreach worker had a place for him where he could get a room to stay in but he was too suspicious to take it. He is out there without his medications or a place to live. I am so worried about him.
It sounds like everyone had a good weekend, especially Maryenne hearing President Carter again. Have a great Monday all.
