Good morning everyone,
Lynn, any news to share about your house/car wreck? I thought about you quite a bit yesterday.
Maryenne, when do you leave for your upcoming trip?
Esther, hope you have luck regaining some free time. Being busy is great up to a point.
Joyce and Janice, I've missed reading your posts the last couple of days. Hope all is well.
Yesterday was a totally lazy day for me. I did get to the grocery store and made us a blueberry pie but that was it. I did work with our new great room dimensions trying to figure out an arrangement for furniture. At least I have an idea or two.
Today we are to have rain, rain, and more rain......blah! I have no idea what today will bring.
Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday,
Peg

Good morning Peg and everyone,
I was pretty lazy yesterday, too, although I did a little dusting and organizing in my little den. Other than that, I can't tell you how the day went. Now I have a small load in the dryer and I'll go to the store in a bit. There are just a few things we need.
Peg, I'm flying to Fort Lauderdale tomorrow morning. DH will take me to the airport. I get back late Tuesday night, so it's just one night away. There aren't too many flights in and out of here.
We are in a very bad drought, but it's normal for this time of year. Florida has some bad wildfires, but not near us, thankfully.
Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning
Rain, Rain in Kansas too. About day three I think and cold too. Think we should clear tomorrow.
Wow, Lynn - sorry about the crash and hope repairs are done quickly.
Peg - Blueberry pie sounds wonderful. My mom baked a lot of those - in fact, when I think about it, she baked a lot of pies - apple, rhubarb, pumpkin, etc. Things we had on the farm.
Went to a bluegrass concert last night - a group from Chicago - a member of the group grew up in this area and his family had a bluegrass band - I remember seeing him when he was late teenager so it was fun to see him again. The music style was a bit higher intensity than the local groups -- not quite as mellow as some of our old pickers. And a lot of the locals were in the audience to see Rick as many of them have known his family since he was a toddler.
Had my nails done yesterday and a cut and color scheduled for Thursday so I will be trimmed up a bit!
I am having a dumpster brought in Wednesday and my neighbors and I are "purging" a few things from our basements. My daughter lives in my basement and this is her project and believe me she needs to do it! She is creative, artsy, does lots of projects - knitting, quilting, website building, etc. and can walk right past the messes and not even see them. Drives me crazy but I try to just ignore it - try to focus on the nice parts of having her live here.
Hope you all have a nice day.
Janice

Good morning friends
I went to services alone yesterday, without my usual complaining passenger. It was so much more enjoyable. You have to feel sorry for someone with such a negative outlook on life.
We have cool weather and sun today. Spring has arrived with a bang. My favorite flowering trees are all in bloom - cherries, magnolias, apple trees. The world is at its most beautiful for the next couple of weeks. I am going to go out and take pictures.
I am trying to figure out what to do with my email account now that Verizon has gotten out of the email business.
Today I have to finish up my response to the state audit committee tax audit, a large pile of papers. My printer quit while I was copying everything so I had to go to the library to finish it. I will be glad to get that in the mail tomorrow since I am expecting a refund. I need to buy a new printer. This one has lasted almost ten years so I can't complain about it.
Lynn - I am glad no one was hurt in the car vs house accident. I hope your repairs go quickly. We never know what is coming our way, do we?
Maryenne - Enjoy your trip.
Janice - Purging sounds good. I hope you are happy with the results.
Joyce - I hope everything is OK.
Have a good Sunday everyone

Good morning friends. Thank you for the kind words of concern. We are picking up the accident report this morning. We have had an initial inspection and there appear to be no structural concerns. I am sure the insurance company will send their adjusters out. We have contacted local experts for lawn repair and house repairs. We have to get back to RI for a few appointments over the next few days and then we'll be back at the end of the week. The damage appears to be minimal, no one was seriously hurt. Except the car and the tree stump, both of which are scattered over our yard. Our car barely missed being hit by the debris. We will finish the lawn and garden work this morning and pick up the police report on our way out of town this afternoon. Peg, blueberry pie sounds great! Do you make your own crust? Maryenne, safe travels this week. It's nice that you have a short trip this time. Joyce and Janice, I hope you have had a good week. Esther, protecting my time has been important since I retired. I think putting the hospital visits on hold is a good idea while you are getting your health issues straightened out. Have a great day! Lynn

Good morning everyone! All is well here, in fact better than it has been in quite awhile. Thank you for thinking of me.
Lynn, I went back and read about the car hitting your house. Oh my goodness! What a thing to wake up to! So glad to hear no one was hurt, and that there was no structural damage. Do you know why the girl lost control and hit your house? Had she been drinking?
Blueberry pie, blue grass music, flowering trees, etc. all sound wonderful!
The last few days here have been gorgeous. Today is overcast and windy, with thunderstorms predicted for the afternoon. We have new neighbors who moved here from San Antonio. I think they're used to hot summers, but dry ones. Most of the time we get rain throughout the year pretty regularly here in TN, so I had to smile when they were discussing a yard service with DH and said they would probably need someone to do their yard every two weeks. They will quickly learn that grass grows much faster than that here in the mid-South. Every week will be a necessity for them. They seem like very nice people, and are probably about our children's age. Nice to have a family next door again.
Have a good day everyone!
