LIBBY-hope the sheet rock person calls. sometimes getting people to call back is harder than the actual work BETH-so sorry to hear that about the pastor. Hope it goes well. AMY-missed the part about black out blinds. How's the shoe? DUTCH-glad Ally got a good check up. CATHY-how was the harp lesson?

Hi, all! Yeah, no word yesterday from anyone about what's going on in the garage. No big surprise, since that's how this whole thing has been going. I think I could just spray the wood with bleach. I mean, it's probably been there since before I moved in so that means the inspector missed it. I did move dining room chairs and bike back down since there's more room there than in the bedroom. It's all on hold until I get back from SoCal. Then I'll follow-up with everyone. Faye, lesson was good. I guess for the concert June 2nd we're playing Little Welsh Home, which I know, and Chanter's which I also know, but also the bass part of Kim's Rain. My teacher and the woman who runs the music school play the melody. Kind of contemporary for me but it is what it is. The other woman's name is Shelley Phillips; I think there are some youtube tracks from at least one of her CDs. Mostly woodwind but she's self-taught on the harp. Beth, ugh...your poor pastor. I totally feel for him, long road ahead. I'm sure he'll have lots of help, but still... Libby, as you say, things always change. I think you'll like the extra lighting in the family (?) room. I love having pot lights in the kitchen, a first for me! Sounds like your dgd has a plan! Amy, hope Lukas gets his shoe soon. Glad you are finding your "stride" with him The valences sounds nice. Hi to Dutch and Barb! Finished vacuuming this morning, cleaning a little (not just for the pet sitter, I like coming home to a mildly clean home). Hope to swim this afternoon. It's still warm, but it's not supposed to be in the high 80's and will actually be cooler this weekend, maybe rain on Sunday. Kind of glad...don't like sitting through graduation ceremonies in the blazing sun! Probably won't post until next week...I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! Cathy

Hi all, tired from work. on my feet most of the day. I hope the farrier came out because I have my lesson tomorrow. I also have my WI tomorrow morning. I have not really been working the WW program. I need to either decide to do it or quit. I am going to wait one more month because I will have a huge reduction in the number of hours I work starting June first so maybe that will help.

AMY-congrats on the WL. I keep dancing around the same 2 lbs up and down. A different meeting might be a good idea, a different perspective. I just do online and need to be more consistent with tracking. (like more than 2 days in a row !) how's Lukas's shoe? did the farrier come? BARB-seems like you had a great time. BETH-got the umbrella --it's lovely. perfect day, it's pouring!!

Hi all, Farrier came and Lukas was trimmed and shod all around. Looks great. Dreary rainy weather so thank goodness for the indoor. Had a good lesson. Got to do a jump line doing the "numbers" instead of the "add". Then trainer would have me go back and do the add, so it was all about adjustability and control.
In hunters doing the numbers means one stride for every 12 ft. between jumps subtracting one stride (12') to compensate for take off and landing. So 72 feet is a five stride between the jumps to do the "numbers" and six strides if you are doing the "add".I told my trainer I am not a kid anymore so I need to practice at home what I am going to do in shows I can't just go to a show and do it. I jump 2'6 and 2'9" and oxers during lessons so it is really not the height it is the pace and consistency. It is good to have goals.
hope you all are well!

We had an amazing storm yesterday and into early this morning. We don't get thunder and lighting very often, it was almost scary! Ds lost power at work so I had to go pick him up early, our lights blinked, just enough to have to reset all the clocks in the house! It rained so much! had the pump going for 8 hours to drain the arena! Horses weren't bothered by it, Cookie, ds's service dog was upset and stuck close to us during the storm. The sheet rock guy just showed up at the house!! Electrical will be done Sunday and sheet rocks getting done on Monday! Wave to all, HAGD

Good Saturday morning. Kentucky Derby Day!
DH's brother is getting married today at 3pm (for the 4th time). As soon as the wedding is over we're leaving so I can watch most of the Derby hoopla. After the Derby is over then we're going to my DM's for dinner.

Hi all - we are back - it was a fun, exhausting time! We saw 3 great shows - Michael Jackson Cirque, Terry Fator -a ventriloquist who won America's Got talent several years ago -& the Beatles Love -Cirque show - we had all seen the Beatles but they had changed it so we went again -it was fantastic -MJ was good as well -but Beatles better (IMHO)! We are not gamblers - (our friends are) I played $10 each day in slots -won $8 over all! The weather was great & we walked A LOT! But glad to be home -except for the rain.
Libby - this is the 2nd time we have just missed each other on vacations! We need to time it better!
I went back & read everyone's posts - Beth - love the photo- too funny! Yes, the rain is getting to be excessive- I went to the barn this morning - and the mud has only gotten deeper! We keep digging trenches for the water to run downhill but there is just so much - and the weather report says more of the same for the next week -at least. I was happy that Penny's shoes are still on -it is 6 weeks today since her trim but going to wait another week (or 2) as long as they stay on -why put new ones on when I'm not riding?
Tundra was happy to see us - as were the kitties -just not as exuberant! DH is busy doing laundry - I went to grocery - tonight we are just chilling -watching the derby - and catching up on taped TV shows!
waving to all - HAGD - stay dry -

Waiting on the derby 🐎
Measured the pasture to divide in about 1/2. Decided to keep Ally home. Do haul ins instead. Good trailer practice and variety of locations to explore! Plus save a ton of $$

Good Morning- The sun was out this morning - for a while! Watched the derby -it was pretty muddy - noticed how all the horses were covered w/ mud - except the winner -he was out front pretty much the whole way - good for him!
Dutch-does that mean you are keeping Ally -(weren't you thinking of selling her?) Will you do the backing on her or have someone else do it?
Beth- 4 times? unless there were some sad circumstances -maybe it's time to quit? LOL -hope it went well
Libby- sounds like you are in the home stretch for the reno-
Cathy- any new paintings?
Faye -do you have any Mother's Day gigs?
Amy- did Lukas get his shoes? (2 or 4?)
going to lunge Penny (if ground in round pen is not too muddy) then take her out for a walk on the trail -since the rest of the week looks to be rainy -again!
HAGD - Ride if you can CBL

Good afternoon. Update on pastor... in a lot of pain. His wife took his sermon note and read the sermon today.
