Hurray for Friday! Lynn, good for you for keeping up with your activity goals! Esther, I'm so glad the massage was beneficial. Please keep us posted on the ovarian cysts. Peg, you made me hungry with that yummy sandwich on fresh bread! DH makes all of our bread in the bread machine, but we've noticed that it's getting moldy faster lately, with the increased humidity. Joyce, we had a lot of rain yesterday too. Hopefully it washed the pollen away. What kind of flowers did you get? Janice, enjoy that sunshine! My boss wants me to drive down to Naples to meet in person with some people about an issue. I'm not sure it's necessary, so we agreed that I will meet with her boss next week to discuss. Part of the problem is that my boss thinks there is a giant issue, but the person I talked to down there thinks the problem has died down. I don't want to drive 6-7 hours to inject myself into other people's business if it isn't necessary, but I also don't feel very clear on what the issue actually is. Stay tuned. No plans for the weekend for me. How about you?

Good morning all,
Maryenne, I think your boss thinks very highly of you and your abilities but I totally understand your not wanting to get involved in another office's circumstances. Now totally off the subject....what is your favorite bread that DH makes?? My French toast was really good this morning but my DH isn't real crazy about the recipe I used.
Esther, please share with us what you learned from your GYN. If and when you decide to move make sure you get your kids to help. Do you own your part of the house so it will have to be sold?? We've lived in this house for 24 years and remember I started decluttering right after Christmas.......I am so glad I did as it allowed me to pace myself without being totally consumed with no time for anything else.
Joyce, you haven't mentioned your parents this week so I'm assuming they are doing AOK. How was lunch with your previous boss, I bet it was a lot of fun.
Janice, please have a glass of white wine for me tonight and have a ton of fun!
Lynn, is your insurance going to cover all of your home/landscape repairs from the accident??
We think our handyman will be here later today to finish our buyers' repair list. We started serious packing yesterday and again to pace ourselves we plan on doing a couple of hours everyday.....maybe one hour in the a.m. and another one in the p.m. I am hoping this will allow us to not become overwhelmed. The. moving co guy was supposed to have a quote to us by 5 yesterday......it didn't happen. We another company coming on Tues. then we will compare.
Nothing planned for the weekend but it is our local Spring Parade of Homes and yes we will go through some, in fact our builder has a slightly smaller version of our house plan included.....we will definitely go through it.
The rain has finally stopped here, at least we think so. Waving to everyone!
Peg

Good morning friends
We have our monthly Renaissance flute workshop today. I need to get my head into the music. What I want to do is spend the day getting the house ready for our book group tomorrow. I have been working on it all week so whatever I can get done after the workshop and my PT appointment will be fine.
The GYN said the cysts have to come out along with my tubes and ovaries. They did a blood test for ovarian cancer and will schedule surgery soon. If it is cancer I will need a hysterectomy. My primary care doc says the cysts are large, but the GYN describes them as small. It all depends on your prospective and what you are used to. He said a week or two recuperation period after the surgery. My DD is going to come and stay with me.
The porch steps look better with one coat of paint. I wish I could have finished them before tomorrow, but we have 2 or 3 days of rain coming so they will have to wait for dry weather.
My brother showed up yesterday. It is a relief to know he is still alive and kicking. I went to a housing forum last night which left my head spinning with so much information. Some of it was even aimed at the homeless so maybe I can help my brother find a room to rent. He is 75, too old to be living outdoors.
Got to run. Waves to everyone.
Peg - You are wise to declutter early. That is my next task here when my health issues calm down.

Good morning! Maryenne, hope the work issue will resolve without your having to make that long drive. Like Peg, I think your supervisor has a lot of confidence in your abilities; but, if you can get by without having to make the trip that would be better. Peg, your plan to pack two hours a day is a good one. It should help you not get overwhelmed or over tired as you make this transition. Having made a lot of moves, I know it is no fun to do. It will help a lot that you are so organized. Esther, so glad you saw your brother. It would be great if you can find a place for him through some of the housing suggestions you learned last night. Also good if you can find a place for you that will not require all the upkeep you are doing now. Enjoy the book club! Janice and Lynne, hope you are both looking forward to a good weekend. Both of you always seem to have such fun activities planned it makes me want to join you. It's another gloomy, rainy day here. We have nothing special planned, but will probably go out for Mexican for lunch. Then I need to pick up a pair of pants I am having hemmed as part of my mom's Mother's Day gift, will probably make a trip to Sam's to pick up a few items although that can wait if the weather doesn't cooperate. And, as usual will go visit my mom and dad. Peg, thanks for asking about them. I am happy to report that for the past couple of weeks things have been going better with them than it has in a long time. My mom is gaining strength and the anti-depressants are helping with her mood, my dad is not getting better but not significantly getting worse either so I am pleased right now. Still wishing I could get my mom to eat, but I have given up on that as she just refuses. Yet, she must be eating more than my dad tells me she is because it doesn't look to me like she is losing a significant amount of weight. She eats a little breakfast, and day before yesterday did eat lunch, but refused to touch it yesterday. I am keeping their little refrigerator stocked with Ensure, and stuff for sandwiches. She will eat a sandwich. Right now she is really into pimento cheese. Don't know what I will do when she gets tired of that. But I have stopped pushing her about it. All that does is upset her and upset me. I tell myself as long as she appears to be getting better, to just let her have her way. That's what is going to happen anyway, so don't stress us both out over it. Wishing you all a lovely day!

Good morning friends. We are heading up to MA today for some work around the house and hopefully the yard if we get a break in the rain. The repairs to the house and yard will be covered by the car insurance company. Nobody hurt and fairly minimal damage to the yard and house. It could have been so much worse! Esther, best wishes and healing prayers I am glad your daughter will be staying with you. When is the surgery planned? Maryenne, I miss my bread machine. I love homemade bread! It's nice that your boss trusts your judgement in the upcoming matter. I would also want to have a clear idea as to what the issues are before showing up. It's a long ride! Peg, my favorite breakfast is French toast! I haven't had it in a while. I think I will make some soon. DH is not crazy about it, so I usually order it out or make it when we have company. Joyce, how did you make out with the plants? We still have a couple of weeks until the last frost date so I am. cleaning up the gardens. Some of the perennials have bloomed so I have some color in the sea of green Pink bleeding hearts and purple vinca vines as well as the magenta azalea bush. Janice, enjoy your wine tonight! Any music plans this weekend? Have a great weekend! Lynn
