Faye; have a great gig today! Barb; Have fun at upreach, saw the fb ad, looks wonderful! Cathy; I think he will be sanding today if it's dry enough-the darn dogs were playing and Cookie had white mud (from the wall) all over her ear and there is a big gash in the newly mudded wall! I'm sure he won't be happy to see that! I'm going to cover everything in plastic and put plastic doors up in the halls-there is a fine dust everywhere and he hasn't even sanded yet!! Sorry about the mold ordeal! Yard work is all maintenance-pulling weeds, spraying blackberries Beth; did you get to walk this morning? Is your pastor doing better? Dutch; are you getting any me time? Amy; are you feeling better yet? I got a beautiful hanging planter filled with all sorts of flowers for mothers day yesterday It's on my front porch. Saw dson #1 yesterday, he looks pretty good, this one struggles with addiction-he shows up when he is (drug) clean, gives me a hug, takes a shower, breaks my heart again-I have to keep a hard heart sometimes- could use prayers!

Hi, all! Faye, have a fun gig...is this tea or seniors? Harp rehearsals start tonight for me (concert first Friday in June), and my lesson is tomorrow (she had to move it). A musical weekend! Barb, enjoy Upreach. Yeah, sorry about the wasted time. I guess you weren't too surprised but still a bummer. "Grey's"? Libby...wow. That has GOT to be hard for a mom, so sorry about son #1. Glad he was dried out enough to come say "hi" but sorry you have to harden your heart, totally get it. XOXOXO! Beth, I think I'D enjoy a field trip to Krispy Kreme as well...and yes, do they get to see how they are made or is it just tasting? Wally's World...we don't have those...weren't they in a movie back in the, ahem, 80's? Hi to Amy (hope you're feeling better) and Dutch (ditto!). Inspector came out, nice "kid". He was here only 15 minutes and turned off the machines when done so finally quiet. I don't know how long it takes for the results so all that stuff will probably be here over the weekend. Sigh... Got in a nice swim yesterday. Big - DEAD - spider on the bottom of the pool where I was swimming. Creeped me out so fished it out so I wouldn't step on it The woman I shared the lane with just laughed but got it. Mom and I spent a lot of quality time last weekend. While waiting at the airport we snooped on Amazon at purses, she needs a new one. I bought one, so hope she likes it. Brother is making his "famous" turkey enchiladas Sunday so will head to mom and dad's for dinner. Cathy

Dutch; are you getting any me time? Oh this made me laugh. I appreciate the concern. Just a busy time. I do not see my job letting up - so I've applied for others, as something has to give. I know personally other stuff ebs and flows...

DUTCH-hope you can find a job to give you a bit more time for you CATHY-ick, spider, I'd use up my calories jumping out of the pool! Yes, there are nice people, usually more than the annoying ones, but it's the annoying ones that stand out. Have a fun musical weekend. You were right on both-Mother's day tea at a senior community. it was great BETH-did DH bring you home a crispy creme? LIBBY-sorry abouDS #1-does he live nearby. good he was ok now. sorry about the drywall. hope it's all finished soon. BARB-hope you rode because it's going to be a wet weekend. AMY-hope you are feeling better
gig was lovely. and the Director said she was at a library meeting and they mentioned a harpist they like and she said I already know her! so that was exciting. Made me happy. chatted with some residents, lovely people. But a long day, the parking is across the road, and I need an amp, so I pull up, unload, park, walk back, get the baggage cart, bring it in the elevator , set up, bring luggage cart back. tune. play and repeat to reload the car. But worth it, they are so nice.
yoga later. Have a good day everyone

Good afternoon. Had some rain this morning and the lightning was intense so I shut the laptop down. We're expecting more rain this afternoon. I have no current news concerning our pastor. Will probably find out more Sunday.

Hi again - Libby - so sorry about DS1 -I am sure it is a constant struggle for you all - at least he is clean now - maybe this will be the time? Faye - glad your gig went well- Grey's = is Grey's Anatomy! one of my favs! It was good last night - also hooked on Chicago Med.....ok -i admit -=I am a TV aholic! Didn't ride -by the time i got back from Upreach & groceries & cleaning the shed I was wiped. When I got to Upreach the client came running up to me (this is the 4 or 5th sesssions I have been with her) and hugged me & said "barb - so happy you are back" makes me feel good. this session is 7 weeks then she doesn't do the summer so I will ask for an earlier time slot so I can still do stuff .
Dutch - hope you can find another job that is less stressful (what do you do?) Beth -we are getting your rain late tomorrow & all day Sunday -but......next week FINALLy warm & no rain! woo hoo!
Waving to Amy & Cathy - enjoy your evenings -

Good morning, Rained and hail and thunder and lightening all day yesterday-again! Found out my referral for podiatrist was denied, after calling 3x a week for 2 weeks! Customer service got a complaint and they are working on it- turns out the doc wrote the referral up wrong! Bummed me out! The sanding in the kitchen will happen today, I'm going to go help do spring cleaning at the saddle club and then do some shopping, coastal farm and feed has 20% off anything you can get in a pink 5 gallon bucket, 10% off anything else. I need a new lead rope, fly spray, horse vitamins...who knows what else lol Thanks for the support about my dson! Not my vision for his life Barb; I watched a lot of old movies on TV yesterday, by noon my feet hurt so I just gave into it and laid in bed and watched old movies Dutch; I know it sounds laughable- yet even some time out grooming the horse can turn into me time! If you don't get soaked with all the rain lol Faye; How heavy is the harp? Cathy; is the mold stuff done now? Beth; sorry you didn't get to walk! Amy; are you feeling better? Love the flowers I got for mothers day! Makes me want to plant some more HAGD everyone!

LIBBY-sorry about the referral. hope it gets straightened out. the harp i take is about 18 lbs. part carbon fiber, soundboard is wood another harp is 10 lbs -it's all carbon fiber the pedal harp is about 60 lbs--that i move with a Harp dolly but i do have to load it into the car. I rarely take that one out, usually only once a year for performing with harp ensemble. hope it all goes well with the kitchen
DD is sick so cancelled brunch for tomorrow. will go down and help her with laundry and try to order something in. making her soup now. Got nice flowers from DH . C'est la vie!
waving to all and wishing everyone a happy Mother's Day

HI all - did a quick ride early this morning before the rains begin! then took Tundra to the dog park -so all the animals are set for the "nor'easter" we are supposed to get - just what we need - more rain! Libby- guess fly spray is something one can never have too much of! I usually go thru a bottle a month -or less -I have come to the conclusion that none of them do a fantastic job & the cheap ones are not much worse than the expensive ones.
Faye - pretty flowers - we are laying low tomorrow - Mothers day with no kids around is kind of just another Sunday! Maybe brunch out.
Waving to the rest of the gang - stay dry - and have a HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY

Hi All you horse lovers,
I rode today, yea! The weather is still rainy and miserable but I have made it though the first half of the day without needing medicine. Lukas was good enough, a little spooky and so was my friends horse. My friend fell off but is fine. She had a "good landing" and didn't hit her head. She is 67 so it scares the hell out of me to see her fall. She is from some strong stock and that is for sure. She just got right up and got her horse and mounted and rode as if nothing happened.
Faye- I have always wanted to see a professional ballet company perform, (bucket list). I have seen a professional Opera.
Barb- I hope you have a fun return to Upreach. Sounds like the gallery might need some marketing to get some traffic through there. Glad DH is going well.
Cathy- Hopefully the saga of the garage will come to a close soon and life will return to normal. Hope the swimming and harp playing is going well. Good luck with the orthotics. are you working on any paintings?
Libby- I know what your mean about an easier to maintain place. Good for you getting some gardening done.
Dutch- what's up? Hope you are well.
Beth- Have you been able to get some walks in? Hope your bale garden is sprouting.
I hope you all have a nice Mother's day
HAGD Amy

Hi, all!
Faye, glad the gig went well. It seems as if yoga after all that schlepping was a good idea!! Barb, good luck with the weather...hope it mostly passes you by or is not as bad as thought. What a lovely story, to get that big hug from your Upreach rider! Makes it all worthwhile! Amy, glad you got out and got some riding in! My horse ever liked covered arenas but they do come in handy! Libby, hope you find lots of fun things to buy, horse-wise. Sounds like the yard is a lot of work...are the blackberries worth eating? Total bummer about the podiatrist...hope they work it out. Dutch, yeah, sometimes a new job is best. I've had the kind that suck the life out of you, and then the kind I have now where you're bored to tears. Not sure which one is worse...good luck finding something new.
No paintings on the horizon...I've become so dumbfounded by the painting of my brother, I have let everything come to a complete stop. There's no sense to it at all.
Had a harp rehearsal last night, but stuff is either easy or something I already know. Not a specific to harps this time like last concert. Probably won't have another practice until the last Friday of May. The concert is the first Friday of June. Then I went to a restaurant where some friends were listening to a Reggae band...cold and windy. Brrr...
Ran errands, had my lesson, and just finished hacking at the weeds in the back. Time for a shower!!
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms!!
Cathy

Good afternoon. Just did the Mother's day stuff today. First we went to his parents. We took them some hamburgers and chips and talked with them for awhile. Then we met my DM at CiCi's Pizza and had dinner with her. Now we are home and tired. Plan a relaxing night.

Hi All, Enjoyed mother's day today. I went to church and when I came home the kids had set up a nice brunch. Opened cards and gifts and ate chocolate Babka which I have never had before, yummy. Then played Pictionary, which we haven't played in a long time. It was fun. In the later afternoon DD2 and I went to Lancaster just to walk around, most things were closed but gallery row had interesting art in the windows. A new ice cream shop had opened up so we each enjoyed a "kid size" cone. I had toasted coconut and it was really good.
Back to work tomorrow. I am off the cold meds. now.
Hope you all enjoyed your day.
Amy
