Good morning-
BARB-hope the new place sells lots of your pieces. Sorry the show had so few people. DD is back to normal, thanks. LIBBY-hope you feel ok. I loved the trampoline in gym. So will you look for a yoga place? sorry about the high arches and not much to do about it. An orthotic wouldn't help support it?
Waving to all. HOpe it doesn't rain, landscapers supposed to come and do the mulch and prune. HAGD

They said they were coming but still not here. is it warm enough for flowers? usually I put some in Mother's day but it's not freezing but it is still chilly. how is the walking going?
CATHY-any movement on the garage LIBBY-hope you are feeling well and had a good time with everyone. how long are they staying? did they get the lights in? how was the trampoline party? AMY-are your shows outdoors or indoors? so this is your last week at the office?? DUTCH-what's doing? any news on the job?

HI, all! Faye, we've had odd weather as well. Quite warm over the weekend (shorts by days end) but end of week back down to the 60's. Never know how to dress??!?! Harp lesson today...in person! Yay! Barb, have fun getting shoes for Penny. Yes, how is she now with her back feet? 8 weeks is amazing, even w/o mud to contend with! Pocketbook saver for sure Beth, how is the straw garden progressing? I did some minor gardening yesterday; there's an old vine, might be trumpet, growing under the front stairs...not good. The gardeners were cutting it back but I decided to cut it and then dump some stump killer on it. Might kill the lavender in front of it but can replant if needed. Libby, oh...trampoline! That will be so fun for the kids! So, what kind of shot...cortisone? My podiatrist had a new way of doing that - yes, they are VERY painful. He sprayed that freezone stuff on my foot before the injection, all I felt was the intense cold, not the injection. Much better! Hi to Amy and Dutch! Yesterday was errands and cleaning, a bore on Sunday, nothing to look forward the next day Will walk today, then lesson tonight. Cathy

Hi- Penny is now good for my farrier (hey it only took 3+ years!) she can get both hinds filed & frogs trimmed and she stands nicely for her -as you guys remember when I got her none of that was doable! Even my farrier was pleased they stayed on that long -she did find an abscess on the bulb of one of the hind feet -it had burst -to be honest I don't mess w/ her hinds more than once a week at best (my bad) fronts done daily - that being said she was never off & Amy (farrier) said that it is good now - just put some stuff on it & as long as she stays sound not to worry. Yes, we are getting rain again here today -a gentle rain but just cold & raw.
Don't know if i told you tomorrow a woman from a town about 1/2 hr from me is trucking in to ride w/ me -we have never met - only thru a FB local page -I told her i am a "very cautious rider" and if she wanted a Yahoo ride -don't come! and it winds up my farrier knows her and says we should have a good time as she is easy going/cautious as well -will let you know how that works out.
Found out today the first shop I went into for APril & May (and rather expensive at $80 per month ) has sold NOTHING - pretty discouraging. The second shop that I went in just this month -nothing either -and she just told me the shop wasn't even open last weekend cause she & other owner were sick. well too bad but since I am paying (again) but not as much kind of pisses me off. I have committed to June as well - asked if she would refund me if I pulled out -said no -so I'm in for one more month (this one is only $30 a month). The 3rd shop opens this coming weekend and is in a really good tourist/vacation spot (the other 2 were a mall and just on a street in a neighboring town) So.....keeping fingers, toes and anything else crosses (thanks for listening to my rant-just so discouraged)
libby I must have missed the trampoline thing - you are getting one for the grandkids? Ok - here is retired insurance agent talking -you may want to check w/ your agent or company -just in case to make sure that's not an issue -here in NH only one company would write a homeowner policy with one.
faye - did they get your lawn/garden stuff done -
Cathy - yes, cortisone shots can be painful -and even worse when they wear off! HOpe your foot is better - have a good lesson
Dutch - any word on the new position?
Amy - think you have a show this coming weekend? Does your trainer come with you to shows? How far is this one?
Going to work in the studio -make more glass that won't sell (pity party for one anyone? LOL)

Howdy folks! Hope you're all doing well. I played a bit w/ Ally this weekend. Was nice - good brushings She choked on a store bought treat. She just took it from my hand - like normal. Someone asked if they can puke... no they can. Sure can cough strongly though!! eek! Eyes so open I could see the whites of them - ya, NOT good! So I walk back to my desk from getting lunch and my cell rings... yup, hiring manager. lol Sorry for last minute notice, think you can interview now? lol Sure, why not... 1:15 later and cold lunch ha! But seemed ok. Positive anyway. Some of it would be a stretch, but not the end of the world. Time will tell.

i all,
Dutch- good luck with the new job hunting process. There are always many levels to get through.
Faye- thanks for getting us started. My shows right now are mostly outside there is a big season end one at a huge arena that is indoors. I have always wanted to ride there so maybe this will be my year.
Barb- hope the trail ride with the new friend works out well. Yes my trainer trailers me to the show and coaches me while I am there. I do not transport my own horse. I find it is cheaper to pay someone to do it then to own a trailer and truck.
Beth- hope you enjoyed the wedding.
Libby- there always seems to be a lot going on at your place, but most of it sounds like fun. Do you think DGD will want to join pony club or 4-H? (if you have one around).
Cathy- I know you enjoy the in person lessons, so glad you get to have one.
I worked today but that is it for the week. then next week I work 2 half days and then I will be mostly out of the office for a while. It is not like I won't be working though. A lot of things around the house and property need attention. I also have some improvement projects I want to get done. Of course I will be able to ride on a more regular schedule too so that is very nice.
Making chili for dinner, yum!

Hi horse lovers! Cathy; doc sprayed the freeze stuff on my inner side of heels before injecting cortisone, still hurt like the dickens! The next two days were pretty painful. Monday wasn't as bad, I'm doing more icing as directed. Stoked that you are having an in person lesson! Faye; I was miss-informed it wasn't a trampoline party, it was a bouncy house party, 4 huge rooms with different activities 1/2 hr in each room, then a party in the last room with yucky pizza & cake lol, my dgn had a blast! It was really nice to see everyone from that side of the family! I might try the yoga at the YMCA, I think they have a beginners class, it was a slap to hear I probably won't be able to do Zumba anymore-I loved it, also may look at water aerobics the Y has that also. Dh swims at the Y, I might try that as it is aerobic and non-weight bearing. I'm not a good swimmer, dh would have to give me lessons. Amy; yes, there is always a lot going on at my place! Try living here lol! glad you have some time to do what you want even though you will work a little! I finally weeded my front entry-wow it looks so much better (shame on me for letting it go!) I'm getting some more flowers today. Beth; sounds hot and sweaty there! Yesterday, I started painting where the last cabinets are to be put up-for some reason, they didn't put up my plate holder cabinet and cabinet over the peninsula. We were waiting for the painter, he's on a different job -so you know us, the if you want it done, do it yourself generation, I started painting! Dutchwife; awesome about the interview! Glad you got some time with Allie Barb; Penny is such a rock star! That's great you've been so patient with her and her hind legs! Trust you will get some sales at the shop by the tourist attractions! I would NEVER get a trampoline (I'm a nurse-remember) my own ds had an injury on one while visiting a relative (I didn't even know they had one) and of course it didn't have any of the safety equipment on it! He had double vision and had to have surgery. So, totally with you on the trampoline stuff! lol HAGD everyone, have dentist cleaning, painting and riding my horse on the agenda today

BARB-glad Penny no longer has farrier issues. She seems like a sweetie. sorry the place sold nothing. hope the new location is better DUTCH-when do you find out ? and nothing like advance notice LOL AMY-nice to have your trainer with you and someone to trailer. CATHY-how was your lesson? soon you have the concert! LIBBY-I was never a bouncy house person. Scary about DS and the trampoline, I remember doing trampoline in HS and the whole perimeter needed kids to spot the person on the trampoline. they seem so dangerous in a backyard. Happy painting! Sorry about Zumba but hope you like yoga. are there workout classes in the pool? those are hard! you might like it. BETH-how are your plants doing? Rainy here this week so I put out more grass seed. some came up so I'm trying to fill in
they did a nice job with the mulch, and cleaned up my little flower bed and mailbox. I remembered to have them knock a branch off the shed (too high for me!). Rhodies looking pretty. don't think I'll put any annuals though, sick of the deer eating them. Hoping my irises bloom, this year it came up but I don't see buds. they were new so no idea what they should be. We'll see. The peony buds look ok so far so hopefully they will open. and the butterfly bushes are coming up so should have an ok summer.
waving to all. HAGD

Hi, all! Faye, I had an iris that I got from my watercolor teacher. It budded, kind of semi-bloomed then went away. I've got it in a pot and am hoping it will spread on it's own, would like to plant it in the front "yard". Which, since the kids aren't playing there anymore, is finally coming back to life! Lesson went well, rehearsal this Friday and concernt next Friday. Barb, I get your rant...I mean, the one place was closed the entire weekend?? Did you get reimbursement? I'm betting "no". Hopefully the new place will work out, your stuff should sell so easy, it's lovely! Hope the ride goes with the FB woman! Dutch, sounds like you're getting in more Ally time Good luck with the interview, you never know until you know. New stuff is good!! Libby, ah...a bouncy house, much better. Glad DGN had a good time. I like painting...did a lot in my house in San Jose. Not here though, don't like vaulted ceilings. Sorry you had so much pain after the injection. The heel is more delecate...I remember getting them there and I think it's worse. Good luck with trying the pool aerobics...didn't you do that in AZ when you were there? Amy, nice that your time in the office is closing down and you'll have more time to do the things you want/need. Hi to Beth...wha'cha up to? Did the neighborhood walk, nice. And had lesson, also nice. Saw the woman who came over to play that one time, she's been busy so we'll try this summer when she's out of school (teaches I guess?). She's been asked to play at a wedding and of course, has never played solo anywhere (does have a small group she sings/plays but yeah, not solo). Will be interesting to see how it goes. Swim today...and study for the certification. Kind of dull. No news from the contractor. I have a feeling I'm going to have to find someone on my own. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Cathy Cathy

CATHY-really is amazing how contractors never call back. I had a great one for years and then one day he fell off the earth. I hope he was ok. just never called back and never returned calls. endless. Hope the iris blooms. I did 2 weddings once but a totally different thing. have to time the walk down the aisle, end at the right time, see when the bride enters. They start late . I'd do cocktail hour but I won't do a ceremony anymore ( except those renewal of vows, that's different and was fun)
BARB-hope you enjoy the ride with the FB friend. and hope Penny likes FB friend's horse.
no need plumber for shower. do dusted the house and will play the harp while waiting for them to call. HAGD

Hi all, Started weeding early this morning and transplanted one plant which I hope will do well. Had a good practice ride and then walked the loop with my friend Karen and her horse Shamus. On the way back I picked up 2 bags of landscape rocks for near the mailbox and 4 bags of mulch. I have decided since I am doing my yard work in sections that I will only buy the amount of mulch I am willing to put down the same day.
Libby- Sounds like the painter is going to lose a job.
Barb- I hope your new shop is a better fit for your glass art and you get some sold.
Faye- Do you have any gigs coming up?
Dutch- Enjoy Ally
Cathy- when is your certification test?
Beth- are you still doing Bible study?
So now that I have eaten lunch I better go spread mulch before I lose my momentum.

Just back from dentist for crown fitting-such fun! NOT!
Libby - sorry about the flooring -sure you will find another option- funny about trampoline issue! Amy- happy spreading! we only mulch every other year so this year not. Cathy - is lesson harp or watercolor? enjoy which ever!

Charmed... DS is almost 4- so he's in full time daycare / soon to be daycare/Pre-k (at same location). So for now- no changes for us. Ally just had her pedicure did pretty good. Was cute- I had to wake her from a dead sleep- passed out cold (flat out) on the ground. lol I talked to her the whole way there - not a wiggle until about 10ft away - and scared the hell outta her. ha Oh, so not a nice way to wake up!

Hi again,
trying to stay awake. I keep waking up too early like 4:30am and then wanting to go to sleep too early in the evening, so I am trying to reset my internal clock.
Barb, your first ride with your new horse friend sounds ideal. I like to take things at my own pace and appreciate people who understand that too.
I have my lesson tomorrow. I am thinking I should ask my trainer if I should move up to the next level at this weekends show. I am not sure though so I will wait until the lesson is over after I see how it goes.
DH is home now so he will help me stay awake!

Hi horse lovers, Faye; I think we are going camping with dgd's and the horses-just 20 mins from the house! would like to get away from the house! Barb; hope you got to ride and rock your new haircut! Dutch; Allie is so cute! and your son almost 4! how fun Cathy; I wish I had your foot doc! I got small bruises from where mine injected me, I think it's slowly helping-back to pain only in the evening, instead of all day lol- very frustrating about the mold ordeal! Beth; sorry you didn't get to walk! Can you do something indoors for exercise? Amy; may be you should move up in the classes! Challenge yourself Have a great day everyone! I'm going to a child care center down the hill from me. They have hired me for 1 - 3 hours a month! lol The State here requires nursing visits monthly if you have infants and toddlers.

HI- Libby - that sounds like a great gig - not too much but enough to keep your hand in "stuff!" Camping sounds like fun -may be a silly question but what do you do with the horses when you camp? are there stalls or pens or what?
Hair cut came out good -I keep it short as I don't have the time or skill to do anything fancy - I can wash, fluff & be on my way!
Amy - yes, see what your trainer thinks about moving up - but only when you are ready.
Beth -sorry about the rain again -we are getting it here tomorrow & friday -we just can't catch a break w/ the weather.
Heading out to ride - waving to Cathy, Faye & Dutch - HAGD

Hi, Lesson went well today. I talked to my trainer about which class to do and she said to stay where I am for one more show and then we will talk again. My last show was when we were slogging through the mud so it would be good to have a better show before moving up. Hopefully I will have a confidence building result on Sunday.
Barb- there are some indications that melatonin can trigger auto immune diseases and since I have a family history of one I don't want to risk it. Hope you had a nice ride and the rain stayed away.
Libby- I am so sorry about your foot pain. The camping trip sounds like a ton of fun.
Hi to Faye, Cathy and Dutch.
I bought more mulch so I have to get out there and put it down.

Hi, all! Faye, I have this weekend off...no plans as of yet. FYI re: MyPillow that Page liked; mine seems to be given me stiff necks in the morning so I'll probabaly go back to my Chiroflow pillow. Need a new one. Beth, hope you get out to walk tomorrow... Barb, I thought I'd try Melatonin, was going to ask you how much you take so thanks for answering before I could ask. My dr suggested another anti-depressant but don't like them much. Glad the trail ride went well! Amy, glad you had a good lesson. Sure, see how the next show goes (uh, Sunday?) and if you feel good about it, move up. Sounds like the front yard is really getting it's makeup done! Libby, can you get close to matching the "old" floor? Pine floors seem to be all the rage, seems like you could find something close. Have fun at horse camp if you go! Dutch, so Ally is a sound sleeper...too funny! Took cat to vet. Whew, what a morning. She'll have the urine tested and blood for glucose. They found an issue with one of her molars so that probably will need to come out. Then she peed in her carrier and promptly spread it all of the inside of the car. Then had to poop (there is a litter box in the car, learned that lesson in previous trips) but soft poop and had to wipe her butt. And she got a partial bath when I got home since there was pee everywhere. So...she's pretty tired and so am I. Might have to clean out the car...or let the car wash do it Went for a quick walk with neighbor and her dog. I'm done for the day as well. I have managed to lose 5lbs since around mid-April. My cholesterol and glucose was up so started tracking (still tracking). Got rid of desserts after dinner so that I could still have my chocolate in the afternoon. Also saw that breads and cereals where high in fat...go figure. So cut those back as well. Slow but steady...I'm happy Cathy
