Good morning. Already took my morning walk. 76*at 5:30am is plenty hot to walk in.
QOTD-What thing (excluding the horse) did you buy that was worth the money?
The stock type trailer we bought to haul mares and their foals. It had 2 big areas that you could haul 2 mares and foals or you could haul 4 horses. It was a goose neck hitch. We also used it to haul hay from the field and moved furniture in it. DH always washed it out after every horse haul so it never smelled. It was an all around versatile trailer.

Morning all! Here in OK we're set up for about 8+ of 100* heat.... not fun! The horse flys have been awful and they love my Bravo. Really looking forward to Fall!!!
I also love my horse trailer- it's a 3 horse slant- nice open and airy, horses like to get in it, furniture or whatever is easily hauled. Great price and I have had it forever.
Best money spent was on this garden/utility type cart (heavy plastic wagon style with 4 beefy tires) I got before an expo show. I got it from Sams and my mom made fun of me for spending $100 on it. It barely fit in the front tack area, but came in so handy with being able to haul hay bales and tack. Have had it almost 15 yrs now and used it for just about everything and I'm not very kind to it, the thing has been beat to heck and survives it all. Mom is the one who primarily still uses it- really handy for any semi-heavy hauling. I haven't seen that same style again, but would buy another in a heartbeat.

Hi all - since i don't have a trailer (!) I would say the best thing is my Wintec saddle - i love it -it's english style (5000) and i find it comfy for trail riding!
Speaking of which - did a nice ride this morning -took the "back" trail which is longer & deeper into the woods -and still no bugs` maybe since it's been so dry -they are gone? Beth - I gave Judy the link to here hopefully she will join us!~
Off to run errands. HAGD -- CBL

Hi all, Yesterday we had no water due to a water main break near our house. Then in the evening DD1 car broke so had to help her out. We have water now but have to boil it. Had a great ride on Rueben in my lesson yesterday. Plenty of well water at the barn so I brought a change of clothes knowing I could freshen up there before leaving.
The purchase that has been well worth it is my used Beval Butet saddle. I am not an easy fit when it comes to saddles. The saddle is a short flap, close contact and fits me and Rueben like it was custom made for us.(a lucky find) Really well made and nicely broken in. The only thing I find annoying is that obviously this was an expensive custom saddle for someone who did not always take the best care of it because there are a couple of mildew stains. It is still a great saddle and I guess the stains made it more affordable for me. Other then the horse it is my biggest purchase price but very worth it. A low cost purchase that has been more then worth it is Shapley's M.T.G. now that I have a chestnut with some skin sensitivities I use it a lot and so far has been the quick cure for whatever comes up.
