AMY-once I turned about 40 wine did the same for me. never really drank anyway so doesn't bother me not drinking. enjoy the lesson.
I fell in kitchen. On my knee. Got tea, got water I think hit my hand and I tripped I think over the mat.
May need to get rid of mat. I trip on it
Fell on knee. Mug broke. Alarm went off
knee hurts but I’m fine. I waited to get up to see if I was ok before hanging up with alarm company.
I now have to clean the broken mug.
Can’t believe it
Pain gone but geez. Pity the circus closed, it would have made quite the opening act. was planning on washing the kitchen floor today anyway but had to vacuum first with a hand vacuum to get all the pieces up in the corners of the room. What a morning. and had just finished practicng harp so was all relaxed.
Pilates soon. HAGD everyone

this page won't let me comment on posts? Faye; so sorry, glad your not hurt badly! Amy and Faye; yeah, me too, one glass of wine or one Margarita (on the rocks) and I'm so done! Dutch; nice you can work from home, hope ds gets some relief at the doc's Beth; how did shopping go? Cathy; did you get your swimming in yesterday? Barb; Has the mud dried out yet? It's so hard on their legs/hooves. Kitchen paint looks great! just need a couple small holes patched that I found under the cabinet, dh will do that today and I'll repaint that tonight Today I'll repaint the Jersey Cream on the end wall (just the top needs repainting and a little on the hall way) and then tomorrow I can put away the paint stuff! It rained last night, which is a little relief, the arena has been so dusty. My new food crave is artichokes! They are so fun and good! I ordered my new sink from overstocked.com it's a big 60/40 16 gauge 34" ss had a hard time finding rounded larger sinks. I'm going to the home depot today to look at faucets. Love the new touch frees - if they aren't over the top expensive, I might get one! HAGD everyone! Faye and Dutch-it's got to get better!!

Sad news this morning. Coco's first mom passed away this morning. Coco is adjusting fine here but wants to chase the cats.

Hi, all! Beth, so sorry to hear about Coco's mom. I hope Coco can accept the cats...and vice-versa Faye, oh vey! I hope your knee is OK. I always trip, mostly over the cat. Had one back at the SJ house, phone rang at work, ran to get it, cat in the way, ended up with one leg tucked under my butt and the other leg sliding into the fridge. As you say, the circus should call Hope all is well and no side effects! Dutch, glad you're enjoying the view, but sorry about DS. Libby, glad the painting is done, or nearly at any rate. With a big sink, I REALLY wanted a sprayer, which I got...my dreams came true Have fun picking out sinks/faucets. Did you find a countertop you liked? Amy, so what kind of tech was this, that the patients will like? Glad it went well. Hope lesson with winter trainer goes well. Hi to Barb! Did get in a swim yesterday, nice day at the pool. Finally having a stretch of nice weather! No feedback on dry wall folks, so will have to check around outside of local contacts. Sigh... Vet called, cat still has a UTI, which is resistant to most of the antibx the cat can tolerate. We'll try a new "pulse" schedule, 2 weeks on then MWFs. Take her back in 6 weeks for recheck. We're also going to try and decrease the steroids for her allergies and see if we can eliminate the insulin. Have to go pick up cat drugs today. Cathy

HI all - Libby - one thing I will say about dark floors - I love mine -it hides LOTS of dirt! Yes, I guess you will be very happy to have this done finally - Beth- glad the new family member is settling in well!
Cathy - I feel your pain about contractors- I have left my guy 3 messages in the past 2 weeks - he needs to come back and look at the deck he put up last spring -did a coat of sealer in the late fall - telling me he would come back in the spring to do another coat - well -1- it has never dried up enough for him to do another coat BUT 2- the coat he put on did not do well over the winter there is a lot of chipping & peeling so we need to figure out another product or smoething -but he has not returned my calls
faye - great story about how you met your DH -
Rode this morning - was a bit wet but nice -I have a "rule" i never trot/canter around corners when you can't see what's coming -good thing - this morning as we were walking around a corner -all of a sudden there were not 1 or 2 but 5 loose golden retrievers off leash -barking and running up to Penny. I called out to the person who started calling the dogs (one person 5 dogs?) finally they all got leashed but were pulling & barking as we walked by - Penny was a little jiggy -but walked by them all then settled down.
Off to get gas & mangos from my Indian grocery -they haVe the best -sell by the crate of 10 & I split w/ a friend -we go thru a crate a week -only this time of year- the trick they tell me is not to refrigerate them -keep them at room temps!
Waving to Amy & Dutch - HAGD - rfide if you can - CBL

CATHY-maybe decreasing the steroids will help the infection. Steroids if I remember correctly is not good for infection. good luck. Glad you swam. hope this contractor thing ends before the turn of the next century. Happy harp practice. LIBBY-that would be exciting for the sink. although don't your hand have to be in a certain place? Glad the painting went well. how is your orthotic helping? how's the elbow? BETH-so very sorry about Coco's mom--how's your mother? I think you said she was someone she knew? DUTCH-hope DS feels better and hope you don't get it next. vit C and zinc. that's my motto. AMY-have a good lesson BARB-glad things are drying out but I think they say rain later in the week
have a good day everyone

Faye; how are you feeling from your fall? My elbow is great, that cortisone shot was like a miracle not so much for my high arches, it has been better the last few days, I haven't had to ice then for a few days Thanks for asking! Beth sorry about coco's mom. So happy you are there for her. Cats usually curb the dogs desire to chase when they get tired of it lol Barb; mango's are the best! I think I could live on mangos and artichokes! Cathy; steroids do increase blood sugars, sounds like you have a good plan for kitty Dutch; how is ds? Amy; are you off work now for a bit? Didn't get all the painting done....dh didn't do the patching till late afternoon, so it wasn't dry enough to sand. Will focus on that this morning. The touchless faucets are spendy-more than the nice sink I bought! not sure I'll get it. I'll commiserate will all of you about contractors, we've called ours 3x in the past 3 weeks to get the last two cabinets up and the plumbing for the d/w and frig. Keeps saying he'll look at his schedule with no commitment! DH is ready to look for someone else, I think they get really busy this time of year HAGD everyone!

Hi, all...what is it about contractors? You'd think they'd at least respond to say "hey, I got stuck with other work but I'll check in with you in a week"? The fencing guy was good but I did wait 3 months for the work; at least I knew when he was scheduled to come Faye, yes, how is the knee? Must be OK since you didn't mention it (did you?). Barb, Penny is SUCH a trooper. People are clueless about horses if they've never been around them/had them. Glad all went OK. I was trail riding once with 3 others and a jogger came around a corner...we were walking. The first horse spooked, turned and bolted, dumping her rider (to be honest, she was a tricky horse...should never have been in front). I was second in line and somehow ended up at the rear. The rider who feel was bleeding profusely and his wife was frantic but when I told him to look up, the bleeding was above the eyebrow, so just a place that bleeds easy. The horse ended up returning on her own. We headed back so he could go to ER for stitches. Never a dull moment with horses... Libby, OK, so yeah, those faucets are spendy. Sorry it was out of your pricerange...hard to let go of something you had your heart set on. Good luck getting the painting done....well, and those last cabinets. Did you already pay him all the money he was owed? That's one way to keep them coming back I guess...hold off on that last payment until your satisfied all is done. Hi to Beth and Dutch! Not much to report...will walk today with neighbor and concert tonight...will be interesting. We're just sitting on the stage the whole concert and adult harps only playing 1.5 pieces (bass line in 2nd piece). Definitely taking water this time to have up there, last time had none and we were there 3 hours!!! Cathy

Hi all Hope you have a fabulous Friday! DS ... seems worse this morning - woke about 2:30am and that's almost all she wrote! :/ coughing more. Poor daycare lady! lol I know I'm fighting it. I get to work tonight also from 9pm - 2am (ish). So no fun there. I'm salary - it's not OT. Played w/ Ally. She volunteered to go 1/2 into horse trailer. kinda funny/cute. Was fun though. No stress. No.. hurry, we need to get to x by y time... Refreshing change!

CATHY-3 hrs and were on stage? gee. that's rough. good idea about the water. that's a long show, is this one that long? my knee is a bit blue but fine. Can't kneel on it though. but fine. Thanks. enjoy dinner and have a good concert!! LIBBY-sorry about the contractor. Mine fell off the earth. so I know what you are saying. hope the painting goes well today. Glad the cortisone did such a good job. sorry about the arches. wonder if certain shoes are better . I knew someone once with fallen arches and they put a "cookie " under the arch at the shoemaker, to support the arch. was pretty easy to do. Guess if the orthotic doesn't help then a shoemaker is not helpful either. Sorry about Zumba but have you looked into the yoga at the gym yet? BARB-any knew glass projects or shows? BETH-how's the hay garden going? I have irises that the leaves came up but no buds. really annoyed! at least the peonies have buds. AMY-how was the lesson with the winter trainer? DUTCH-how is DS? was it just a virus? hope he's better soon. I stick by my Coldeze and Vit C suggestions and lots of tea for you! stay well yoga later. between my right foot with the torn tendon by the toe and the left knee I told my teacher we may have to do a handstand for the hour! LOL I looked at the Dr. Joel Fuhrman diet-sort of vegetarian. got the cookbook. like it but over did the dates etc so now tracking with it. doing a bit better (it's day 1, don't get too excited) but I like the increase in the veggies that I'm doing and there's less sugar craving so will try to combine these two. I also need a bit more protein then the vegetarian thing, i got a bit lightheaded at Pilates. waving to all. HAGD

Contractors are TOUGH to deal with! Beyond frustrating during the job and you almost love them when they are done! lol
DS will be 4yr old on June 12th. Yes, just a cold virus. No fevers. Coughs due to sinus drainage.
My theory is SLEEP to beat it lol... I may have lost that battle last night! ha

h i all - Faye - YIKES - hope you are ok - My iris' are out as well -love the purples -our yard is always 2-3 weeks behind everyone else -don't know why -our lilacs are just now starting to bloom -all the others around were last month -go figure!
Cathy - that ride sounds like fun (NOT) - yes -people are clueless. Whenever I see anyone on the trail I try to educate them -tell them to stay where the horse can see them -not to hide on the side!
Dutch -sorry DS is not feeling well - sick kids are almost as bad as sick husbands!
Did a quick ride (about 2 miles) after Upreach today - too nice a day not to- only 2 more weeks of this session then a 3 week break till summer session. I will have a new client for that as my current one doesn't do summers.

Hi, all! Faye, the concert was a blast...such amazing music. Some of the songs were posted on the FB page for Community Music School of Santa Cruz (or something of that ilk). I think we were there only 1.5 hours, just went from song to song, no waiting. I don't think I played very well but there were so many of us you couldn't hear. That could be good or bad, depending on your confidence level Dutch, sorry DS is still sicky. But glad you had a good time playing with Ally. Barb, wow...more rain!??! I think we may be done (knock on wood); it's been a couple of weeks As Barb said, everyone must be busy! I'm doing laundry Got the cleaning done. Some friends are coming over the hill tomorrow and we'll go hiking locally. Will be nice to see everyone. Will be going to hand doc on Monday as the trigger finger treated with cortisone last summer is resurfacing. We'll see what he says. Cathy

Good evening, Sorry I haven't been posting but I've been glued to the Cornell Montana Osprey nest in Missoula. They had a hatching today. This is the male's bird first hatching ever and the look on his face when he saw his first baby was priceless. Here's a link to the nest site: e cams.allaboutbirds.org/channel/27/Hellgate_Ospreys/. One egg hatched and 3 more to go.

That is an interesting bird site beth! This morning I notice a gold finch (our state bird) and two small babies in my arena. It was so bright yellow-only God could come up with that color! Then a little later I saw a northwest red-breasted bluebird- the blue wings were amazing! Painting the broom closet today which is attached to the laundry room without a door to the kitchen. I'm used to having a door there. Later on we will add a sliding barn door there-that's another project lol! Will be having company for dinner tonight. DH is going to bbq steaks- my kitchen is a mess! Not my idea again. It's his nephew and his girlfriend that we met for the first time yesterday. They live in Oregon, came up for the Mariners game and will stop by here for dinner afterwards. This dn lived with us for a while when he was younger, a sweetheart- he helped dh make stalls in the barn when it was all open shortly after we decided to get horses again He's so funny, afraid of horses, his girlfriend said she used to ride. She wants to ride Lucy tonight. I told her I'd give her a lesson on Lucy HAGD/R everyone!

No real Ally playing- just a chores kinda weekend.
Ds is slowly getting better.

Hi, all! Faye and Barb, have fun with the rain. Faye, always nice to find things at the mall you actually need, versus something that will sit in your closet and you'll finally give away because you never used it. Barb, sounds like a nice, long ride. Hope rain is short-lived! Still stalled on the painting Dutch, yay! that DS is getting better. Weekends kind of get filled up with chores, because the week is so busy. Enjoy! Beth, that is so fun, the bird cam. They have one in San Jose, CA as well...or used to. This was for peregrins at City Hall. Libby, have fun today...as someone mentioned, at least you don't have to cook, just give a riding lesson! Hope the contractor comes back...seems like he should if he wants the rest of his money. Hi to Amy! Hike was nice, weather is wonderful, then we had a nice, big breakfast. Won't need much dinner for sure One friend that came today missed our last hike because her daughter was taken to the ER (she's in her Freshman year at Berkeley). Apparently, she took too many pills and "left a note". So heartbreaking...she's OK but needs some major therapy. Crash time Cathy

LIBBY-my knee is better. black and blue fading and not as sensitive to the touch. the toe with the torn ligament is a small issue, hurts sometimes and gets tired walking a lot. hope that goes away soon. not a big issue, must annoying. Have fun with DN and Lucy lesson DUTCH-glad DS is better. sometimes it's good to get chores done, I feel accomplished. (guess it depends on the chore) CATHY-so far I like the Fuhrman recipes. But if I don't combine it with WW points I overdo it. I like the Oatmeal "cookies" (takes like cold oatmeal, but it's ok) and the chocolate truffles (made with dates) really like the steel cut oat breakfast-hold me for hours. i add the apple and banana and walnuts and it's about 6 WW smart points so same as my other breakfast. I also made the kale chips and even if they get soggy I like it a lot.! I adapt the other recipes a bit and I do have lean protein, but I find I've been doing much more veggies. So sorry about the Hiker's DD--sad but unfortunately not uncommon. I've known others that that happened to. good luck at the dr. Monday for the finger. did it bother you with the harp concert? waving to all. HAGE NExT Sunday are the Tony awards
