Hi so I got this post up AMY- how is DD's car? BARB-how is DH's car shopping? are you ready for your show? BETH-I watched the opening of Olympics until USA entered then went to bed. Did you see the rest? it was nice I thought. a little slow.
so If I hit the Reply on the Quick reply header, my post didn't post. I have to hit reply on the top. any idea what I'm doing wrong?? thanks

Good morning.
Faye-when you want to reply to a post you hit reply and a window comes up to type your message in. This is your post. When you have finished with your message/post then hit Create Post at the bottom of the page and you should see your post come up on the board. While you are in your reply box, that is where you can play with your font size, type and color. You can insert links, smileys and pictures although pictures have to go through a roundabout method which I haven't exactly figured out yet. Oh- I do not hit quick reply on the left side as you cannot change anything concerning the font with it. I use the reply button on the right hand side. This forum is not quite a month old yet and already has over 1700 members and still expanding. New changes are still being made often.
As to the opening ceremonies, I was not much impressed with them and didn't watch much. I ended up watching the last half of the Great British Bake Off on PBS . I will be watching the games off and on today.
QOTD-What part of the equestrian events do you like the best?

Hi all - I am attaching the schedule for those who couldn't find it -my fav is dressage - no riding today -rained in the morning - then DH & I went car shopping - he picks up his new Kia Forte this afternoon -I may have told you his trade in was a 2003 Elantra w/ 54,678 miles on it! We just need basic transportation for him to run around with - we took a low mileage (10K a year) lease it's red - not my choice but it's his car~ Faye - years ago when the Natl horse show was still at MSG I would go w/friends (when I lived on LI & in Albany) to watch the Puissance & other events -we saw the Medal McClay several times -once when Paul Newman's daughter was riding & he was there -I have to admit -I did walk right up to him to say hello -he was very nice ! Back in those days you could walk all thru the stable areas - met George Morris & Rodney Jenkins & Margie Goldstein who is still competing !
baking brownies for a party tomorrow - will ride in the morning - waving to all - HAGD

Hi Lani. It just finished here. From what I understand it will be on the USA channel for the continuation of dressage.

Hi
Tracked yes Steps 11,428
Every time I try to post something comes up and I have to leave my computer. I had a great practice ride on Rueben yesterday and a short ride on him this morning because the air is so thick. I went to a winery this afternoon as part of a fundraiser for an animal rescue. They had a lot of healthy food choices so that was nice. I did have a wine slushy, very refreshing.
I watched a little of the dressage today that is part of the 3 Day eventing competition. I had recorded it. It is not quite as fancy as the regular Dressage competitions but it is pretty cool how well rounded the horses are that they are able to do all three phases. I think my favorite Eventer to watch is William Fox Pitt. He is so tall but he has incredible balance. I love that Boyd Martin (from PA !) is riding an ex racehorse. He is really great about supporting the rehoming of racehorses around here. I enjoy watching Margie Goldstein Engle too who is a show jumper. I love seeing her walk the course because she is a shorty like me. I think we are close in age too. I am spoiled living in Harrisburg because I get to see many of the top riders at the Harrisburg National every year. My DD2 got her photo with Beezie Madden last year and loves that photo. I was trying to see if I could meet Margie but no luck.
My husband and I worked together on the garage yesterday so it is looking much better now. It is good to do it together so we can be sure we agree on getting rid of certain things.
HAGD Amy
