Good Morning - Farrier was here by 9 -Penny's feet have suffered from all the mud -while her shoes have stayed on (miracle of miracles!) they are kind of soft -she's never had great feet but we were making progress -now 2 steps back. Have to get some stuff to put on them -hope they will go back to better soon!
Raining here today -going to lunch w/ DH -something we rarely do -
Cathy - I would guess you could find a runner to blend w/ the laminate -is there an IKEA near you -they have so much -or believe it or not -Home Depot! Good Luck

Hi, all...looks like everyone is busy! Barb, glad she's got new shoes. My horse had 4 white socks so I feel your pain! Hope you had a nice lunch. I will look at Home Depot...there is one nearby. My neighbor with the dog and I went for a walk this hot Friday. When I go with them, it's not really a walk, it's where ever the dog wants to go But she mentioned she's put in 3 faucets in the bathrooms now and offered to do mine so I might get some free plumbing Quiet day...the heat makes it hard to function (Faye, I really hate practicing the harp in the heat.) Good evening. Went to town this morning and did some errands. Came home and had a severe thunderstorm. Lightning tripped the breaker on the power pole and we were without power for over 6 hrs. It just came back on. Now we're eating supper. Bye.

Hi All,
Drove to Baltimore today to go to a bridal shower for my niece. Did not see Lukas today but did make it to the gym which is good because I probably didn't do to well on food. Didn't track. I did not eat at the party like the "old days" so that is a nice change in behavior but I know I didn't stay within points.
On Friday I had a lot to do so I didn't have a lot of time with Lukas. Since there was only a little time I got on Lukas bareback and walked around. I just wanted to see what he thought about it. He was actually good about bareback although I could tell he was thinking "this is different". Felt slippery though, if I really wanted to ride bareback I would have to get a bareback pad to have some grip. I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Cathy-Congratulations on passing your certification exam!

Good Morning - Amy - bareback - wow - I have never done that on Penny - the woman who has the older paint at our barn uses a bare back pad -it comes w/ stirrups & she has offered it to me to try - but no thanks -I like my saddle! Hope you get some Lukas time today
Beth- we have been lucky this summer no power outages - but also not a lot of thunder/lightning storms! Glad it wasn't too long. Actually since DH bought (and had installed) the generator about 5 years ago we have NEVER lost power -winter or summer!
Heading out to ride in a bit - may take TUndra to the walking park later -tomorrow DH & I are going up to Kennibunkport for the day - we love to walk around the town & have the best fried clams in the world! (not very diet friendly!)

Hi All, Tracked yes,
My calves are so sore from a step workout class I did yesterday that I did not go riding today. Bummer because the weather is beautiful. I am getting laundry done today so I can hopefully spend time at the barn tomorrow.

Hi, all! Beth, sorry about the power outage but glad you got all your shopping done. Hopefully no loss in the fridge! Barb, wow busy day yesterday! Have fun with the clams tomorrow...sounds like a nice place. Isn't that were the Kennedy's were from? Why do I know the name of that town? Amy, I think it's OK to overindulge as long as it isn't a pattern. Whole Foods had soft pretzels yesterday...yum, bought one and had the whole thing with mustard. I won't be doing it again anytime soon We did some bareback when we goofed around but I didn't make it a hobby. A cousin had Welsh ponies, who were short and round - easier to grip and not as far to fall! Hi to Libby, Faye and Dutch! It's finally cooled off a little, not in the high 90's today (yes, were wussy out here) so went for a hike...very nice. But the heat actually got me painting again yesterday so started brother's picture and one of Iz the cat. Cathy

HI all - guess we all missed yestereday! Dutch - great photo - she's looking good (how long did she stay clean?)
Yesterday DH & drove up to Kennebunkport -about 1.5 hr drive -lovely little town to walk around in & shop (we bought nothing!) but look! Also our favorite place to eat -The Clam Shack -world famous for fried clams -we only eat the strips & after standing in line for 15+ minutes -we get to order and find out they are OUT OF STRIPS! Oh No! I don't like the whole clams -and if we wanted lobster we would have gone elsewhere -so we wound up eating at another lovely restaurant on the water - I had crab cakes -but so bummed!
raining here today -tooth dentist coming around 11 - Penny will most likely need to be tranquilized!
Faye -I loved Beautiful -the music was fantastic! Glad you enjoyed it.
Cathy - congrats on passing -
Amy any lessons soon -are you going to start looking for a new barn/trainer -or is the sale something that isn't going to happen fast?
Beth- hope you are not getting all the nasty weather they keep showing on TV here -it looks like the whole south is getting slammed!
Libby - back into routine? Were the ponies glad to see you?
Off to wait for tooth lady (!) -- HAGD - CBL
